indiaciki Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 It' s definitly 150 km/h as is the BF109E not 160... I'm doing patterns and landings for weeks. At higher airspeeds she bounces.extremly - excessively. Might be a bug, might be that the F is more like the E (orininal german manual) than the G (different engine / heavier plane).- that's what I tend to think.. At a 150 km/h touchdown she might bounce but it's realistic - at speeds above that she's a donkey. Any thoughts on this? Your expierence?
SeriousFox Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I usually land with 160~180. I think vertical speed is more important than airspeed.
indiaciki Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) That's what I thought until now and reading the E manual. Problem is the 109 has no VSI. What is your appraoch like? Shallow or steep ? The german manuals stress you should have a steep apporaoch. If I do a normal appraoch I'm blind. Edited October 14, 2014 by indiaciki
SeriousFox Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Oh I didn't know that. It's been a month since I played BoS.. no time play game these days Anyways, I approach with 200km/h with full flaps, at the moment when the runway is right below me, reduce the throttle to 0%, reduce my speed using stick and bam, touch down. This is one of my video with Bf109 landing in it, go to 10:00. Hope this helps. Edited October 14, 2014 by SeriousFox
indiaciki Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 she bleeds speed very fast, so your approach at idle over RWY makes sense. If you don't bounce you're probably at 150 after flare
