-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) Should read "You Have Taken Off" Somehow I just don't think you want to go down that road. Think translation or such and be satisfied it isn't worse. Chief Edited October 16, 2014 by -NW-ChiefRedCloud
Matt Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I think it should read "You have taken off." And there should be an option to switch the messages off (they might be useful during the tutorial, but i think after that, most people realise when they have taken off and don't need to be reminded of that). 2

Requiem Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Should read "You Have Taken Off" Actually...it should read " " I would be worried if I was flying a plane and needed a text message to tell me when I became airborne. I know that if my wife was flying that phrase would be a misnomer. By the time that text came on the screen saying "You have took off" she would be about to nose-dive right into the dirt 2
=[Coffin]=f1v3 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Just seen this post as I was preparing to open my own for it. I also don't think this message is necessary, but if it MUST be there, then it's: "You have successfully taken off". (Can't post the screenshot I took in my post...)

Mastermariner Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 And how does it end? "All your base are belong to us"? Master

JG4_Nemesis Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 How about leaving this to "nothing"? Who in the world needs to be notified that he has left the ground in an aircraft? It's kinda obvious thing, if the ground gets lower and lower, right? If you still need to be notified that you left the ground, a simple "you are airborne" would suffice....
von_Greiff Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 How about .. "Jetzt gehts los" ... or s/thg similar for russian fighters/bombers... 1
Jason_Williams Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 The language issues will be improved over time. Jason

I think it must be a scoring checkpoint, since departing is one of the objectives. Still, I don't need to be told. if it has to be there, perhaps we could say "You have departed [airfield name]."
