Wishlist for official release (campaign excluded)

These are my improvement wishes before official release besides a dynamic immersive campaign:

 

-improve FM Fw190

-improve AI behaviour Fw190 and La-5, currently very poor even at Ace level

-tune down the head on attacks from AI, they detect friend from foe too early

-tune down flamability of planes, add smaller fires, make it not always fatal

-AI keeps on flying and fighting while plane is on fire. Crew should bail instead.

-AI not taking off from air field

-AI crashing just after take off

-communication with airfield, add request vector to airfield

-better communication with wing man and flight

 

I think the implementation of this list would be a significant improvement for BOS.

Good idea this thread:

 

- better naming/instructions for setting up controls for new players (eg filter by plane, disambiguation of similarly named controls, etc)

- solution for controller remapping if joystick ids change (either better tracking of controllers or a hack to allow reassignment between ids)

- simplification of interface for AI commands (eg clickable icons like rof, menu or something rather than having to remember many keys)

- incorrect loadout in MP to produce alert instead of disconnecting from server

Wishlist for official release?

 

simple, that there will over 1500+ players at any given time any any number of servers having a good time :) oh and that the server browser some how morphs into something like hyperlobby so people can host CO-OP's.

For ground handling:

When differential brakes are applied, an application of throttle should cause aircraft to turn TOWARD brake being applied- not stop aircraft in its tracks altogether.

The ability on MP server selection screen to filter and have favorites.  Also would be nice, similar to ROF, to be able to cursor over the server to see mission rotations, players in server, number of players per side, etc.

Might want to check your control axis. When I tried assigning Russian brakes to the toe brakes on my controller, I got the behavior you described in the Luftwaffe aircraft. Assigning Russian brakes to a button solved the problem.

Frontline markers on the in-flight map.

- Restore Free camera.

- Restore Right-Click functionality like in Rise of Flight. Doing this would allow us to have a moveable in-game map (not the 'O' map), easier track manipulation while viewing a track, moveable HUD gauges, etc.

- Increase the viewable skin limit in player's field of view to more than the 5 we have currently.

- Co-op mode.

- Introduce SSAO as an option to turn on/off independent of presets.

Or just go all the way and reintroduce custom graphics settings.

several different ammobelts for LW-fighters.

 

unlocks STRICTLY for SP

 

3 or 5 min. of 1.42 ata for Bf 109 F-4

 

Bf 109 G with 1.42 ata

Nope. Assigning Russain brakes to a button didn't help. I believe the problem is the way ground handling is currently modelled.

A zoom to mouse cursor on the map rather than the way it is now it just zooms to some random spot.

- add "Full Real Mode" (no helpers at all pls)

- make ingame map adjustable und movebale for proper navigation

This is a Flight/Combat Sim of great Quatily but..

 

I realy whish the Devs would moddel every Plane with the SAME (Il2, Yak and Stuka - Bravo!) Quality.

I will post some Pics to show what i mean.

 

I am a Fan of BoS from day one but this issue just dont fit the overall Quality of the Sim. 

I hope the Devs will review the graphis on these Planes.

Flamability concern me a lot right now. Bombers catch fire too easily. They should go down due to extensive damage and failure of multiple systems like engines, flight controls or wounded crew.

A server filter would be very welcome. Especially as the number of servers seem to be growing. The ability to filter out the EU servers would be very welcome. This game is almost unplayable with a ping anywhere around 200 which is what I get on any EU server
