Uriah Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I am flying these campaigns and I suggest a different after action report. One that tells me what I did and what my bots did. And I would like it to look like something one might see in a room on an airfield where after action reports might be given. Maybe on a chalk board.
FlatSpinMan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I've seen something like that before somewhere...
Trooper117 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 If we could transport RoF's career, or even PWCG into a WWII setting here, there would be an awful lot of happy campers!
Feathered_IV Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I loved the interface of RoF career. Reaching command status and being able to plot flightpaths and schedule lone missions whatnot was brilliant. The only thing that held it back was the lack of air and ground activity in the missions themselves.
dburne Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 If we could transport RoF's career, or even PWCG into a WWII setting here, there would be an awful lot of happy campers! Indeed, I would be one of those and would still be flying BOS.
SYN_Ricky Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Red Baron II had a very comprehensive debriefing showing you your exact trajectory on the map and every action of every unit involved in the mission I've been dreaming of seeing that again since then.
KodiakJac Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I would think the RoF career would port over nicely and it would be wonderful in BoS I always kind of assumed that is what we would get in BoS, and that is a good thing!
CIA_Yankee_ Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 If we could transport RoF's career, or even PWCG into a WWII setting here, there would be an awful lot of happy campers! My guess is that the PWCG approach is precisely what they're going for: a third party mod that grants the kind of campaign experience we want, while they focus on providing the tools needed to make such mods (like the random mission generation, which is the core of their current campaign), as well as other things that only they can improve (AI, modeling, new planes, and so on). I wouldn't be surprised if we got something like PWCG in the next few months. They've already stated they are working with modders for stuff.
