bivalov Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Man imagine yourself flying the Ju52 and dropping Fallschirmjager above the objective with flak all around. I say lets do this ! ...
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) S! Potato-Bomber! Good one Bivalov Edited October 17, 2014 by LLv34_Flanker
Trooper117 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Can you imagine a hail of potatoes hitting you from 800ft
Finkeren Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I can't find the picture now, but I think I've even seen live cattle been flown in by Ju 52. That would be something to add, I think (with realistic bovine DM of course)
DD_Arthur Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Can you imagine a hail of potatoes hitting you from 800ft Spuds? Traditional weapon of all paratroopers isn't it?

unreasonable Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 If you want a really hairy scary mission for the german paras you need a Crete mission, with the first wave parachuting onto Maleme and then the second landing Ju52s onto the airstrip that was still under ground fire. An amazing feat of arms, however regrettable the consequences were for the people of Crete. Lovely place, BTW.

SYN_Per Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Crete, the slaughterhouse of Ju52:s. Germans were still suffering from that during the Stalingrad kessel fight. Bring it on!
heinkill Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 did you try to give order to flight to attach any ground units? Even in ground attack missions flying the Il2 it is kind of random whether the two 'attack ground targets' commands actually work. Seems to work about 50pc of the time for me. Last campaign mission attacked an airfield full of targets and they just flew around without doing anything, then I went off to attack a train and without giving another order, they followed me and started attacking the train too! Go figure. I think the wingman AI is still a bit WIP, but better than Cliffs of Dover. At least the escorts do their job if you are in an IL2! Tim
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 S! I noted that the AI wingmen do bomb the designated target if you do NOTHING when coming to "action point". Just let the game radio the engagement and that's it. If you order them it seems they go to "just flying around and getting killed"-mode.
Thunderbird Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Hi everything seems OK but will you be changing the fps from your maximum of 120 to unlimited at anytime i just think everybody should get the chance if they wan't to use it. Apart from that the game is now looking really good and hope to have many months if not years playing it many thanks.

Just set the fps limiter to " Off" in the same graphics setting menu - then you will have unlimited.

Thunderbird Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Hi to all you budding fighter & bomber pilots, i would like to ask a reasonable question when you are flying your aircraft and you look at it from the outside, or inside, would it not be more convincing that fighter pilots and bomber crews were wearing oxygen masks, as in real life anything above 10.000 feet. Hopefully the creator,s of il2 sturmovik could look into fixing this hiccup. I would like the game to be as real as possible makes it more interesting????.
