FuriousMeow Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 That's still something, far better than I'm sure google or bing will do. Thank you!

1CGS Han Posted October 15, 2014 1CGS Posted October 15, 2014 so what happen to #9? just wondering if that's a typo?Yep. Have wrote this list at 1.30 a.m., after 14 hours of work. Sorry. 6
mbv Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Nice to have more destroyable static ground target variation in the campaign. "Intercept Transport Planes" ......Ju 52 on the way then ?
Requiem Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Nice to see more mission varieties and the offline mode making it in. Definitely in the home stretch now.
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Yep. Have wrote this list at 1.30 a.m., after 14 hours of work. Sorry. understandable, no need to apologize. Love the game thank you for your endless hours very appreciative.
pilotpierre Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Wow, really motoring slong now, thanks for the 14 hour shift Han.
Rjel Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I noticed tonight while flying through clouds that the halo effect wasn't there. Maybe it hasn't been in the last few updates, I'm not sure. The only issue now with the clouds is when doing an F3 flyby. There are still some jaggies evident but not as bad as before, IMO. Great work devs in the face of some stressful days here lately!
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 very nice update, I just did a mission in the campaign. I did a short expert, Lag3 and was ground targets, I finished the arty pieces, 8 of them one AA, on my back to the exit point I came across 4 JU87's, Awesome looks like the variety is coming.
LLv24_Zami Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Thanks for the update! Appreciate the hard work you guys do. New mission types sounds especially good.
unreasonable Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Getting ctds now: twice now with same mission more or less, escort ground attack in Chap 2, flying G2. ctd occurred during dogfight over the target. Previously only had ctd at mission end. Time to give up until it is stable again. Is there a particular thread for ctd reporting?

I'm also getting CTD-s during campaign mode, usually near the exit point when secondary targets pop up.
1CGS Han Posted October 16, 2014 1CGS Posted October 16, 2014 It will be hard to catch these CTDs - this time they're very random and hard to reproduce.IF someone findы a sequence which causes CTD every time - PLEASE send me a PM with full description of your algorithm to stable CTD.
Finkeren Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I'm also getting my first lockups in campaign (not even a CTD, the sim just froze) Happened right as I was about to get hit by a wing shot off one of my flight members.
BFsSmurfy Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Wow, really motoring slong now, thanks for the 14 hour shift Han. Motoring SLONG, I want one of those lol, I`ve just got a normal one.
Double_Tap Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Go to sleep Han! We will still be here when you get back.
Nankeen Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Your doing a great job Han, very much appreciated, look after your self also
SYN_Blackrat Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) Pulling all nighters, must be getting close, keep it up guys Edited October 16, 2014 by SYN_Blackrat
avlSteve Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Just finished Uranus... looking forward to Air Bridge. Have fallen in love with the Stuka - my new favorite ride... sirens wailing and soldiers scattering! Great fun.
Feathered_IV Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Han, do you know if Mods-on mode will be active on release?
CIA_Yankee_ Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Nice to have more destroyable static ground target variation in the campaign. "Intercept Transport Planes" ......Ju 52 on the way then ? Probably, but for now I imagine it's just HE-111. They were used as transports during the "air supply" period.
mbv Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Probably, but for now I imagine it's just HE-111. They were used as transports during the "air supply" period. Just reading about this in Bergstrom's Stalingrad: The Air Battle book. Never realised the He111 was used in that way !
=362nd_FS=Hiromachi Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Probably, but for now I imagine it's just HE-111. They were used as transports during the "air supply" period. Well, I had a first interception of He-111 as transports. In fog/snow with clouds at 500 m, was ridiculous as those He-111 could see and shoot at you through fog and you were half blind. Probably it would be more pleasant if I could see things Besides, they were maneuvering like in scissors ... cant imagine being on board of such machine as a "cargo" and pilot rolling plane to 90 degrees. AI for bombers should generally be upgraded, for now Ju-87 with heavy bombs under fuselage try to turn-fight you, heavy bombers (transport planes) maneuver like they were empty and carry no soldiers ...
Dakpilot Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 He-111 flew 2566 supply missions into Stalingrad pocket with the loss of 165 aircraft Cheers Dakpilot

I would not be so sure that this is wrong. I remember years ago watching a TV documentary about the LW in WW2 and there was an interview with an ex-LW pilot who had flow night fighters versus the RAF over Germany. He was asked about what he thought about the RAF: one of his comments was that they (the LW) had great respect for the RAF piloting skills, and seeing a Lancaster (four engine bomber) perform 90 degree rolls from side to side in in quick succession to avoid a night fighter was quite a sight.

Night missions were not done in formations. Here bombers keep formations and maneuver. Besides, that is a story of one man. That could be single Lancaster doing that. And even if not. Well, there is a reason why in B-24 or B-17 maneuvers like roll were prohibited. I'm not saying they should not roll. But they consistently switch directions, which is surrealistic considering they carry people on board.

FZG_Merlin Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I also have very vivid memories of the flying Barans and their beloved P-39s I can only hope to meet them again ! S!
BFsSmurfy Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Look up Chandelle (might be spelt wrong) for Lancaster manouevering against night fighters. My mates dad Jack Forrest (RIP) was a Lanc engineer, on a night mission their aircraft was attacked by a Ju88 night fighter, the Lanc was badly damaged , the rear turret gunner was still alive but had lost the use of 3 of the 4 .303s. The Ju88 closed in so close he could see it clearly, the pilot clearly thought get close and finish it off, at short range the gunner let fly with the 1 remaining .303, he struck one of the engines (his words from the logbook) and the engine exploded taking the wing with it. They got home, the logbook entry was just like another day at the office, I enjoyed reading it, a rare opportunity. He was shot down over Normandy by a 110 (the 2 met the pilot in later life when Jacks Lanc was dug out of the field it crashed in) DDay +2, of the 7? crew only he and 1 other got out, he spent the late war as a POW more frightened of the Yanks strafing the trains they were moved around in than the Germans.
Trooper117 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Have to agree... the He 111's and the Pe-2's throw themselves all over the sky almost like a fighter.
Finkeren Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 With Han burning the midnight oil, we must be getting closer! ....to the release of the Ju 52! 1
=362nd_FS=Hiromachi Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Observation from the tests of the Escort of Attackers - when doing their job, they seem to get stuck or simply cant finish the task, at certain point start circling above the ground target and never manage to finish the task so one way or another, player has to abort the mission. Check for pictures -> I wanted to see how long it can go, since took 90% of fuel. After 10 minutes I left the game. Someone should look at that missions
[7e]Forza42 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 did you try to give order to flight to attach any ground units?
unreasonable Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 He is in the escort fighter not the ground attack element - your orders only affect your own formation. (I assume?). Heavy bombers: obviously there were forbidden to roll inverted - you would not want your bombs falling into the plane, would you. But the idea that you would restrict maneuvers because there are people on board is silly. I am sure that the people on board would prefer a little vertigo and vomiting to being plunged, burning to earth. I take the point about formations - there is obviously a trade-off between the cross fire benefits of keeping formation and the avoidance benefits of defensive maneuver with a group of B17s at one extreme and a single Lancaster in the bomber stream at the other. Perhaps the BoS bombers tend too much to the latter. So far I have only done interceptions against the Pe-2s and I find their behavior to be plausible for a light fast bomber.
Nankeen Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The Devs have been working very hard, (it's in the updates), it only seems proper to say: Thank you !
KnowYourEnemy Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Guys i don't see the new types of missions like "Intercept Attack Planes" in the campaign..Am i doing something wrong?Btw, thanks for the great update! :D
unreasonable Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Guys i don't see the new types of missions like "Intercept Attack Planes[/size]" in the campaign.. Am i doing something wrong? Btw, thanks for the great update! :D If you choose an "Intercept" mission sometimes it will be intercepting bombers, sometimes attack planes. The briefing will tell you.
