FlatSpinMan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 The rest are energy vampires I read this term a couple of years ago at SimHQ! Now who was that poster...?
Chuck_Owl Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Look at the bright side Chuck, you only have another 40 hours, or so, to go until you unlock all the mods. Hell, I bet you can do it in 35. I. do. not. have. time. for. this. 1
Stallion Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) It was in and worked long ago. Just wonder whats the purpose of removing it from QMB which is most of use to do tests, in which the time conversion is very useful. Some people were using auto-pilot and x16 compression to cheat through the campaign without ever touching their joystick. So the devs in their wisdom, got rid of the auto-pilot in campaign. But, either in a lapse of judgement or a desire to punish the cheaters, the devs took out the x16 compression too. And a message to the mods/devs : This decision has made many people angry, as they were using the x16 as a way to enjoy their product with the limited free time they had, by skipping over the boring 10-20 minutes between waypoints where you force us to do LITERALLY NOTHING EXCEPT SIT THERE AND LOOK AT THE SCREEN. Most of us guys here (and we are mostly guys) are workers, students, and fathers with no free time to grind away on a game we paid full price for. And then lumping us all in with cheaters and exploiters and told to "suck it up" is one of the worst ways I could have seen any marketing/dev/whatever team manage these legitimate complaints. Stallion Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) lol "cheaters" Who cares if they earn their gunpods or skins via autopilot or by spending hours playing a game mode they don't enjoy? I know I don't. I have no problem playing the campaign, for I was having the TIME OF MY LIFE playing it before "the update". But If they could just bring back high time compression rates, people would be more inclined to play it. As it stands now my brain is like: Thought 1 - Want to play IL2, me? Thought 2 - Hell yeah! Thought 1 - Oh wait, they took out the high time compression rates so now the campaign is boring instead of fun Thought 3 - Let's get pizza Thought 2 - That sounds more stimulating It doesn't help that many MP players won't even go online anymore since "the update". It feels like a ghost town in the NA servers. Edited October 12, 2014 by Beebaboo
