Lensman Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I wanted to use aiming assist tonight for training purposes and I can't get it to switch on. It was on by default in my Campaign mode earlier in the week and I used RCTRL-I to switch it off. Now, even in a quick mission with custom setting and aiming assist selected it will not activate. I've tried all combinations of on/off save and toggling RCTRL-I during flight but to no avail. Is this a known issue please?

Lensman Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 That was a removal from the normal mode of the campaign, it was initially defaulted to on. I'm talking about the custom mode of the quick mission builder. Different issue.

I'll try it tonight on my box, and see if I too have issues with it in QMB.

Unless you have additional information, that comment by Zak is not enough to support your claim. Zak's comment only refers to rockets and their aim assist. It doesn't state or imply that gun assist is permanently gone. Can a developer possibly comment about this please to offer an explanation of what we should be seeing now? The gun aim assist was a very good deflection training aid for new (and old) players so it would be a loss if it has been removed.

Lensman Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 This is still not functional after the latest release. Please can I have a definitive statement on whether it SHOULD be. At the moment I can't assess whether it's a defect (bug) or a design decision (please reverse it).

uncleseaweed Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Yes, can a developer please respond to this post. I also was using Aiming Assist for practice in single player quick missions. It use to work, and now it is gone. Please explain. I can understand if there was confusion over a new requested feature, but this is a feature that use to work, so taking it out does not seem to make much sense. Thanks! Other than that the game play and realism is amazing, great job on everything.
