CUJO_1970 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Using Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and _currently_ do not have Track IR. Is there any way to smooth pan in the cockpit using the hat switch? Although I do have full range of motion with the hat, inside the cockpit it is practically impossible to track an enemy aircraft while using the hat switch. Movement is very slow and cumbersome. I've worked extensively with the sliders and key bindings for camera/pilot head etc. - to no avail. I can move perfectly fine outside in exterior views - the hat pans very smooth, quick and accurate. Again, I do have full range of motion with the hat switch, but is there any way to pan inside the cockpit smooth and fast and with complete freedom like I can in exterior view? Is there anyone else out there like me that's still not using Track IR?
indiaciki Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) try adjusting the curves in game. settings - head control - bow vertically / turn pilot head horizontally - adjust sensitivity = s-curves. should work. Edited October 7, 2014 by indiaciki
Descolada Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 using snap views works better tbh that and learning to fly with your left hand for less intensive maneuvers that you can get away with it in thats what works for me at any rate
[TWB]80hd Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Yeah, if you can look with your mouse, that is nice, but snap views if that fails!

Sparrer Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 S! I use to set all values to 0 in the files located in the LuaScripts folder It worked much better for me than the original snap views (snap views are those we used to have in the old flight sims like cfs, and falcon 4 right? i always got confuset about pan/snap lol)
kiershar Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Having the views on the hat switch is not very optimal in my opinion. When you are moving the view with your thumb sometimes you have to take opposite action with the joystick and its very hard to do those movement precisely. For this reason i think it is much better to put your views on AWSD for your left hand. Can also put throttles on increase 1, decrease 2 and all your other controls around the AWSD keys. It takes a little while to get used to, but it's very efficient. I don't have trackIR and i don't feel like i need it at all.
