What's the best settings to prevent the nose of the fighter from bouncing all over the place.  The slightest touch on my Saitec X52 causes the nose of the fighter to wobble, bounce and make aim very, very hard.

fly straight... don't zoom in too much or you might have to adjust curves.

You could try something like 30% curve setting and adjust from there. It's an individual thing.

Normally you should not need to use deadzone settings with that stick, it's quite smooth in operation and there's already a small hardware deadzone.

I don't know what to do. Tried two different flight sticks and the nose of the fighter still wobbles all over. Is it the game itself or some setting g I'm overlooking?

Cheers.

Can you post a video ? It becomes easier for the community to analyse having "hands on approach" on your issue with flying.

OK, I think I can arrange that. I'll give it a shot tomorrow after work.

IL-2 1946,CloD, and RoF handle quite well. With BoS, the nose is all over the place with the slightest touch. I see the other you tube videos of people playing the game and it looks much smoother. Granted, people like Requiem are top shelf fliers with class a equipment ,but I barely make it thru a single sortie without wanting to throw the game out.

I see these are trying times for this Sim with people out on the ledge after recent updates. I am not one of these people ready to jump off.

No idea what you mean about top shelf equipment. Using my trusty X52Pro and works fine.

I was using just the saiteck x 52, but it was way too loose. Now I use the logitek extreme pro 3d as the flight stick and the x52 throttle . this way is a bit tighter but still alot of nose bounce/wobble/sensitivity.

Hi Jaeg !

I suppose you need to touch the in game sensitivity curves.

As a matter of fact the X52 had immediate response at the beginning of the course also in IL2 (i used all sliders up). You are right btw in BOS the plane is way more sensitive than in IL2 and CLOD both with the stick and rudder.

Thanks Khan, but I dont think I should have to introduce a 3rd party program to help this situation.

I can fly smooth and with control thru maneuvers in at least three other flight sims, but not here.  E'ffing nose bounces up and down and left and right and all over the damd place with the slightest input. It is impossible to aim.  I spray all over the place.  Deadzone no dead zone , really doesn't matter.  Is no one else having these issues?

Yes there are many that are.

I know right ?

I don't use it TBH, using a Saitek X52pro plus the combat pro pedals and do not have to adjust anything. Works fine without any fiddling.

But then it might worth a try to adjust yours to your grip.

One thing I learned, and taught others, across the years is - there is no way we all have the same grip and wrist pressure, so equal sticks will behave oddly different and according to our builds. Strange sounding but it isn't.

I have same issues. Posted about them few times over last year. Always telling myself that this isn't final product and I'll wait for next patch. As I remember, few patches back there was some more settings for devices, but then (next patch) they only left noise filtering. Which helps a bit but not as I would like to. I can get used to flying around like that, but when you need more precise movement, when you try to aim, or when landing, it becomes pain. That's also the reason that I don't play this game as much as I would like to.

Same problem for me. I really would like to see the same setup options for joystick response curves like we have in RoF. This was perfect. The current sensibility settings make me play the game less than anticipated too. I was still hoping they would add more controller options for full launch.

Right now we cannot change the maximum movement of elevator and rudder etc. If you use deadzones or non linear curves in game the stick movement becomes even more sensitive after the initial movement.

Cheers,

Dag

Is there even any official acknowledgement of this issue? Im about to give up.  Is anyone else flying under any kinda control with a Logitech Extreme 3d pro?  The bounce is just killer, like I said, Il2 1946 fine, RoF fine, CloD Fine, but in BoS  the control is terrible.  It's like the whole plane is a bobblehead or something. I put all curves at 100% and even went into the Logitech controls and turned down the sensitivity.

I want to play the game and have fun, but I cannot.  After 20 minutes of trying to "get it" or thinking I need more practice , I just say "F" it and leave.  Ive been playing flight sims in one form or another for 15 years, and you think some kid/new player is going have the patience to like this situation? Ha good luck.

I thought I seen a video of Jason and Loft sitting around playing the game saying we want new players to have fun and be able to use less expensive hardware.  With the Saitek X52, the problem seems to be even worse.

Sigh,

I had the same issue on an old logitech wingman. My solution was to use a yoke until I saved up my beans for a hotas. I couldnt find a sensitivity setting I could play with without bouncing all over the place.

Have you tried the device noise filter in the game control settings? And maybe check that the force feedback is enabled/disabled according to your stick?

I found that I had to set noise filter to .8 or .9 for my logitech extreme 3d pro. Also set the pitch and roll sensitivity above 10% and yaw sensitivity above 20%.

It took away my annoying bouncing of the nose.

Just tried the adjustments tonight myself.

Hope it helps.

Happy hunting

Ah yes, thanks for the heads up on that Oxodius.

Bottom of the Screen you have a Devices box.

I set the filter to 0.20 on my x52 pro with acceleration at 1 (minimum)

As the noise is directly connected to potentiometer it really depends on what your hardware shape is.
