Puzzeled about 're-intall the game from scrarch' and downloading the latest patch.

So I go in and it starts to update the game with this patch.  I can tell it will take awhile.  But I notice in developer log #81 is says re-install game from scratch.

 

Now it seems if I am goin to re-install game from scratch the patch download is a waste of time because I am going to wipe the game  off the computer and re-install.  And if I re-install from scratch it seems the scratch will include whatever updates I am now downloading. 

 

I must have it all wrong because that just does not make any sense.

Log 81 was for Friday's update that did require a reinstall but today's patch does not.

And for those that tried to reinstall from scratch with new launcher what then its all broken? I received an email saying its an update glitch but no estimate or instruction how or when to fix it or try and install again.

"NOTE that you don't need to download a fresh installator anymore if you did that after last Friday."

Hi all,

 

I've got the 81 update from Friday but I fired BoS up today expecting the latest bug fixing patch to begin updating but it didn't. Also, I've started the campaign but didn't change the first mission to "long duration" and I want to start again, any ideas how, as it appears I'm stuck with the options I started with.
