'The Fappening' what are your thoughts? (no images here)

So,

 

 

The recent 'Fappening' has fappened again. This time with more young actresses. I was thinking, what if I had photos like that and they were leaked? Would the FBI come to my rescue. Could I sue Google or Apple? The answer is no because I am just Joe Schmoe Merican.

 

Some of the photos and videos, yes videos are not even that bad. Seeing any of these is not going to stop be from watching the new Hunger Games when it releases or The Big Bang Theory (no pun intended). I think one of these actresses was a Disney star.

 

I really do not see why people are trolling these ladies. I think people need to chill the f--k out. They are people too and yes they 'get down'. They just happened to have incriminating images on their iCloud.

 

I have mixed feelings about all of this. One one hand I feel sorry for them. On the other hand, I feel they are not entitled to wasting tax payer money for witch hunts because they got caught. I have a daughter of my own. If this happened to her yes I'd be there for her but I would let her know not to be so careless with private photos.

Don't let images you deem sensitive to be uploaded anywhere on the internet. Period. Anything I deem as such doesn't even get uploaded to this computer; it's put on a laptop that is disconnected from the network when it isn't being used.

Private info should be private.

Those, whose photos/videos were leaked need advice and some lessons from security engineer. They had cruel lesson, cause they had no proper lesson earlier.

We live in the world, where millions of passwords hashes are checked using GPU, and SHA-1 is considered not secure in the nearest future.

Yet 80% of most common passwords are still generic passwords like 123456.

Of course it is not wise to upload private photos/videos to some online service or send via any instant messanger, but that's up to person how to use his/her private info,

however it doesn't hurt to use 2-factor authorization, strong passwords, trusted services, etc.

 

I don't understand desire to see these photos (there are a lot of porn videos out of here for jacking out, with khm... let's say - more action), and of course I would be ashamed if my, or my partner photos were circulating all over the Internet.

That is not some joke. I hope they have psychologist or something, cause for some persons it may lead to suicide even for public persons like actresses accustomed to some degree of nudity on scene.

Funny story about Shaikra....

 

 

When I was in the Navy we had a ceremony for crossing the equator called the 'Shellback Initiation'. Thye made us do a lot of stupid things. I had to sing "Hips that don't Lie" in front of 40 people in order for them to let me cross to the next event. It was my Chiefs (E-7) idea. He said he would 'personally' see to it I had a good time, LOL!

From what I understand, the default on the iPhone is to upload ALL photos to the cloud for use in recovering your phone's data in case of an accidental loss. The user has to opt out rather than opt in. I don't think there is even an interface to control the recovery data. As many of those celebrities noted, they did not intend to put the photos in cloud storage and had deleted the photos off the phone. Yet Apple retained them.

 

It was Apple's iCloud that was hacked, not the phones. An unbelievably stupid flaw in the find my iphone app allowed the passwords to be guessed. Then, with the password an iphone was emulated in software and the recovery feature initiated with the guessed password.

 

The flaw allowed an unlimited number of password guesses (or maybe a pin number, I'm not sure) which is just beyond stupid. Considering that the users had to opt out of giving Apple everything on their phone (I don't think it is limited to photos) such a ridiculous & concious decision not to limit the number of password guesses should not go unpunished. Of course, if there is no law that was broken there's not much that can be done except on the civil side.

You just answered your own question, these are people in their 20's, still highly immature, they act like spoiled children because they are, lavished in fame and wealth having deserved almost none of it.

 

The other reason for filming you genitals is because it's fun to get a little freaky with your partner.
