Unlock and XP Grinding Tutorial

Given the number of questions regarding how to complete the single player campaign and unlock modifications in the fastest manner the Unlock Hotfix Group has decided to create a thread explaining and discussing the most efficient ways to grind for XP using the autopilot.

 

Autopilot method:

 

1) Start an Intercept mission with a fighter or Start a Ground Attack mission with a bomber on Normal

2) Turn on autopilot and x16 compression-

3) Keep an eye on the autopilot as it is prone to do stupid things

4) Repeat until desired unlocks are attained

 

Alternative method: (requires actually playing the campaign missions):

 

1) Start a short mission (take-off and landing takes too long) Intercept mission with a fighter or Start a Ground Attack mission with a bomber on Expert

2) Auto-level and fly to action waypoint with x16 compression

3) Quickly complete combat (focusing on bombers as fighters because they are worth more points)

4) Repeat until desired unlocks are attained
