71st_AH_Hooves Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) hey there Jason, This is something that is really useful in debriefs in A10 and other sims, I'm not sure what it would take, but as long as your building it up, Im hoping you might want to take a look at this too! http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-en.php Right now it supports these titles DCS EECH Falcon 4.0 Flaming Cliffs GPX (GPS) not sure if its even workable. VO101Tom Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 It would be superb. This program would be very useful not only mission debriefing, but teaching younger pilots for tactic maneuvers, 2v2, 4v4, even a greater formation tactics.
LG1.Farber Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Yep cool stuff but server side option please.
=CHN=Crash Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 This requires many kinds of date output from the game. It would be very helpful for combat analysis if available. Wish devs think it over, the sooner the better.
Bearcat Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 This reminds me of Sturmolog and MLR. They both did the same thing for IL2.
AA_Engadin Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 My two cents: a 'rewindable' and 'transitable' way to record tracks. I mean, I am, lets suppose, at a Spit's six in my 109. He notices it and tries to break hard, I anticipate a bit, get a deflexion shoot, but to no avail. He flies away. Now I can only regret once again I am not as good a shot as I would like to be. To help improving my aim, I would like to know how far or close did the proyectiles passed off the Spit. And my dream is to have a tool to play the track of the dogfight being able to move back and forth and in the 3D space as well to be able to transport my point of view and place it around the Spit to see the projectiles passing by off the target and calculate the proper correction for the next time. But I want this tool ONLY FOR ME to become the best shot . A dream that may come true some day? AA_Engadin
royraiden Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 If it can be implemented then of course Ill support it
Matze81 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I was about to create a Tac View thread myself. Good thing I used the search function first. Tac View is really outstanding! I used it in connection with Lock On back then a few years ago. It would be an extremely helpful debriefing tool for BoS as well, I think. I'm hoping that it will be supported at some point, because one can really dig deep and analyze exactly what went wrong during an engagement with all the necessary parameters available for review. With a little bit of testing one can also figure out and fine tune important speed figures like corner velocity, speed for best sustained turn rate etc. in case those speeds will not be provided by the developer and/or are hard to find on the Internet for a specific aircraft type. I would love it! If there was any mention of this by the devs in one of the weekly updates, feel free to point me toward it!
6./ZG26_Emil Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I was also going to ask about this. This post needs moving to suggestions. It would be great.
OBT-Psycho Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 that would really be neat. both to learn from your mistakes and to teach newcommers. Or even debriefing! We used to watch track while on teamspeak with some of my squad members to debrief the coop mission but that was not ideal at all. TAC view is way more interesting Fingers crossed on this one
