.... what theres to come.

Maybe:

- Overstress damagemodel for Gears when deployed at too high speeds

- Stick head out of canopy at 900 km/h EXPLOIT fixed

- German Fighters negative-G silly behavior fixed

- FW 190 Performance (Supercharger) fixed

- Finally more diffrent weatherconditions including deposit (after all we have winter right?)

- Cool oil and water on canopy effects like in ROF

- Detailed responsecurve editing per plane like in ROF

.....that and performance (its good now but can be better, talking about MP) and visuals (jagged plane shapes in front of the clouds), custom video options (a must really).

Otherwise Im very happy how things develop for now...

How about a new release date?

I find it bizarre that the much published September release-date has slipped without any official statement from the developers.

Edit: Oh, the Dev's have just today changed the Frontpage with "later in October", - about time...

We will have campaign system today, that's a sure thing

The only thing that keeps the game unfinished are  the bugs

Posted

Prediction:

Early Access to the campaign system.

Implementation of the unlock system (I think this is more or less given considering how the unlocks have been unavailable for the last few days)

Disclosure of final release date.

What I'd like to see - but propably won't this time around:

FM fixes (particularly the negative G bug)

Fix of the inconsistent hit sounds

Fix of Fw 190 supercharger

Updated AI (to better reflect different plane types and roles)

Full implementation of radio comms

Manual engine startup procedure

First look at Things to come after release.

Front page was changed at least a week ago.

Anyway, what I expect:

- Release date announcement

- Campaign (limited?) Implementation

I'd like to see:

- FM tweaks all around

- Fw 190 supercharger fix

- Ju 52 (wish upon a star)

- First glimpse of a summer map (wish upon a thousand stars)

So what's up with the unlocks, anyway?

If you're an early backer, what all do you get skin/unlock-wise?

Posted

Geez i hope they throw out some random release date so I don't have to read the crying about it anymore.... campaign would be sweet and maybe the x-wing fighter.

My guesses:

  • Shooting stars/ meteors
  • Pheasants, rabbits and foxes roaming the landscape
  • Condensation from the infantry as they exhale
  • A range of snacks and beverages on the loadout screen, for those long trips

I think they're working on number 3 and it's holding things up a bit, but it will be well worth the wait.

Mainly FDM fixes.

Axis aircraft still suffer way too much from prop effects, and their real counterparts were, most certainly, a lot more docile and stable...

Ground handling of most prop aircraft, due to overdone prop effects.

Early access to play before release. A founders skin, 20mm gun for the 109 and a few other things next to your name. Will you or I get all of these? Couldn't tell you.

Oh yes :)  and maybe with enough experience points for the unlocks:

The Millennium Falcon

Coelacanths and crocs in the rivers

Bison, Wilderbeest  and Velociraptors roaming the plains

A huge Dehumidifier for all that condensation

What's this negative G bug?  Is it just not processing red-out like it should?

I only fly Luftwaffe (well, so far) and I never pull negative G... I mean, I will nose down a tad if I need to make a shot, but if you're talking about that flippy-floppy trash that LW pilots do in every other sim, I don't participate in those shenanigans.

Well the negative G bug affects specifically the Luftwaffe fighters (those that are trimmed using an adjustable horizontal stabiliser) They initiate a flick roll or even a spin under negative G much too readily making it near imposible to perform negative G maneuvers properly in the 109 and 190.

Mouth organs.

We definately need that. As this completely historically accurate video shows, it was common practice for pilots to play for each other over the sound of the engines and the airflow:

If it was prevalent in WW1, why not in WW2?

No Coelacanths please, they are way overrated, I always throw them back when I catch some. Would not eat them myself but have been told they taste very mediocre

The expansion pack of would be about a little-known aspect of the Battle of the Atlantic, in which the Allies recruited coelacanths and other deep-sea fish to battle the U-boat menace. The Germans then escalate by designing various nautical Wunderwaffen. If you play the offline campaign long enough, you get to unlock a steam-powered submarine and a robot shark.

Of course, there would then be online flame-wars about the "swim model."

I'm amused and slightly impressed that so many people seem to know right away, what a Coelacanth is.

Bit like a Halibut, just a bit more bony, did you know that a Halibut can grow to the size of a large dining room table? ;)

It made me wonder if dinosaurs might be found alive one day.

Aaah, another dinosaur fanboi :) I was down that road as a kid as well (though Spielberg kinda managed to limit my enthusiasm for dinos in a modern day setting, when I saw JP in theatres at age 11)

Well, it took me a few years to really appreciate, that palaeontology has now granted me my boyhood wish. Not only are dinosaurs still alive, they are just as prolific as mammals with some 8000 species flying above our heads. I have started looking at birds very differently.

Sorry for the off topic, but this thread has kinda run its course right?
