BoS, on the other hand, is perfectly playable in its current form

Bos as now is still highly incomplete product and seriously lacks singleplayer element. That's most likely biggest feature most of community waits for.

 

It isn't highly incomplete, it's about 25% incomplete. We already have a measurement of it's completeness. And a release date doesn't indicate or add that it will be there. It simply means the title is in a releasable state. The single player content is coming, it will most likely arrive before the "release date."

I think the game looks great for the most part(clouds, sunsets, 3D), a lot of the macros are in place. But the micros(i.e., disappearing Stalingrad smoke, vehicle smoke that doesn't drift relative to the Stalingrad smoke, hit flashes that happen behind the AC, sounds that happen behind the AC, the 'rail' like POV movement, etc.)? Some of the decisions are so puzzling. I say give em however long.

Zak wrote an update that this is due to a server update. Wait until tomorrow and it will be fixed.

I have no problem waiting, I just think it won't be too much longer.

 

Although we don't have it, the game has been in Beta testing since early May.  By definition, and as stated by Zak, that version of the game is "complete", just being tweaked.  With a six hour server maintenance, the locking of weapon mods and the announcement about this Friday's update, it just feels damn close.

Go to your games folder where you have: IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\swf\il2\userdata\a06c2f31-8edd-4bb8-8fb6-c6d583741700 and inside the last folder delete multiplayeringameplanesettings of all the planes you had there.

This will reset your plane to default config.

I think these devs are on to something. I'm flying a 109 and I can see where I'm going for the 1st time in awhile, it reaches proper speeds and shakes like real AC when going fast.

 

The campaign is a big deal to me as are FM's. I don't mind waiting as long as there are regular updates and they do it right.

 

CoD was a huge letdown and frankly I felt betrayed. Thanks to Team Fusion for their relentless work.

 

We need a proper campaign system that is engaging.

 

I don't have the time to practice day and noght to compete online with someone who flies 40+hrs a week on the sim.

 

Once they finish this and if it done right sell me new planes and fall textures; I'll keep buying.

I don't quite understand what you're saying here, but as I said, you can just wait a few hours until the update is pushed out and everything will be back to normal again.
