redbaron918 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 i have been looking at the x-55 which is at the top off my price range i have the thrustmaster t.fligth and top 3 list seem to go 1.thurstmaster warthog 2. x-55 3. thrustmaster t.fligth. so is the the x-55 the next joystick i should get or is say the x-52 pro better
Urra Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Had logitech 3rd pro. Which was driving me nuts. Switching to X55 I would never go back(great!). Just switch sensitivity to 20%. Also would recommend the saitek cessna pedals as a cheap pedals option if you don't want to spend more, but with the noise cancellation turned up to 50% because input is jittery without it. Rudder sensitivity at 40% makes the input smoother in the center.
Sokol1 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) I think you shold scratch the T.Flight off you list. Despiste this HOTAS format this model use cheap potentiomters that can start "spikes" with relative few use. Actually the only pot' stick that is advisable buy is CH, because this use good quality pots that last years. Cost/effective these Saitek X-'' are unbeatable. BTW - Notice that Warthog cost is not this on "Amazon", is this more the cost of rudder pedal set, 100 ~ 600$ Edited September 28, 2014 by Sokol1 1
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Inded Flight Hotas/Stick X isn't the right deal. mine served for stunnig 5 years actually but practically wasn't uaeable after 2 years due to strongly noticeably damage and decreased quality. The ammount of stick movement is also way worse than with the Saitek's, nearly claustrophobic. I only own the X52 Pro and yes itr's so much better. A long lively and well suited stick for BoS. The X55 might be a better alternative due to being more modern and having a different button layout, though both are probably great choices (love the X52's double stage trigger over the X55 layout). If you enjoy BoS and other flight sims but feel the need for a better flight epirience and a long serving stick go for the X52 / X55. You can maybe pick a cheaper used one on ebay if money is an issue (mine was used for more than a year and I barely noticed any quality loss).
GunSlingerAUS Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I own the Logitech G940 HOTAS/Pedal kit, and absolutely love it. It might be hard to find brand new these days, as I believe they don't make it anymore, but the inclusion of Force Feedback makes this my favourite HOTAS kit for WWI/WWII sims.
