[TWB]Pand Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Can someone explain how autopilot is supposed to work? The way I am interpreting the controls/keybindings, - I should be able to set the autopilot mode with a key combination or binding (level, left turn, right turn). - I should then be able to disable/enable the autopilot. So far I can only get autopilot level by utilizing what I would expect to only select the autopilot mode. Anyone else had any luck? Edited September 27, 2014 by [TWB]Pand
Sokol1 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Are two types of autopilot: "AI autopilot" your plane became a AI plane like another and engage in combat, etc, and you mere a passenger... "AI Autopilot for level flight" the AI only try maintain a stable level flight, and you are able do correct plane heading left/right - at least in bombers and is usefull in bombing runs. Dont know if this mode work for fighters (but probable work, although is not something that improve your pilotage skill). Edited September 27, 2014 by Sokol1

And this one definitely needs selection which will make settings custom (not possible in expert nor normal & so most MP settings). Edited September 27, 2014 by West
3instein Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 LShift+A for level autopilot, and press again or move your stick to disengage, Press A for total "become Ai" autopilot, press same combination to disengage, LShift+Z while in level auto to go left, LShift+X while in level auto to go right, Mick.
