VR-DriftaholiC Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 What about a free to play version of Bos that only allows players to function as gunners in planes on multiplayer servers in hopes that it builds interest in the game. Would be cool if they could operate flak guns too! Would allow for people to "try out" and see how beautiful the game is and may even bring people in who don't yet have a joystick or interest in flight sims. It could even give civil simmers something to try that might entice them to want to fly.
AndyJWest Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Please no. The last thing we need is a flood of gunners on multiplayer with no commitment to the game - we've had endless problems in RoF (and BoS to, from what I've heard) with people joining as gunners just to shoot their own plane, team kill and generally cause disruption. Newcomers won't be trusted, will get locked out and will come away with a poor impression. It won't help sell anything. 3
3instein Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I am sure they could get a good feeling of what the game is like from Youtube,I agree that a load of free users joining just to be a gunner would be very bad news IMO. Mick./
IRRE_Belmont Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Dev already said this isn't going to happen End of discussion
=]VLA[=Ravonmith Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I hope this game will NOT have any free version in the future. The company deserve the money (my opinion) and should not lose customer to any kind of free rider.
Fliegel Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Agree with OP. This was the reason I bought planes and start playing RoF and eventualy IL-2 CoD and BoS. Simply the option fly in friends bomber as a gunner...
=LD=Hethwill Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 A free to try version with QMB SP only. Offer the Stuka as the tryout plane. Profit.
