Lusekofte Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 "Playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner." Um, alright then... I'd hope this isnt your video lol Sorry it is a teammate video, he made it private. Sorry for that. He do not mind me using it. But for some reason it is taken down. It just shows two 109 shoot him down , one mission after the other. He was flying a winter dressed FW-190. The easiest plane to identify
ThreatCue Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) Sure friendly fire happens. I was a forward observer in Afghanistan before I was old enough to drink. The idea of killing friendlies during a fire mission was something that we though about daily. But in a dogfight? Or attacking bombers? With WW2 prop aircraft? As a general rule if your close enough to shoot your close enough to ID. Unless some of you aces are making 3km deflection shots. I sure as hell can't. We are seeing a combination of honest mistakes and people who just don't give a ****. I think more of the latter. In DCS the other night I was flying an Su-27 in Georgian colors having just taken off less then ten seconds behind a friendly A-10. I catch up to him FAST and pull along side him. I match his speed and wag my wings as we climb out. We were close. I hit burners and pull away, he puts a heater up my tail. I was sitting on the taxiway next to this guy less than five minutes before... Edited September 28, 2014 by ThreatCue
