Luorps Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 For some reason, each time I have a target in my sights and ready to fire, my Trackir skews. My other flight sims do not have this problem. Since I have not set up key bindings on my HOTAS, I am on custom with unlimited ammo. I am at a loss for why this is happening. There is no background artifact to effect Trackir. I have switched profiles on the TIR, but no joy. Ideas?
Trident_109 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Do you have a view bound to one of the buttons you are pressing? In other words when you press the fire machine guns button do you also have a look to one side (the way your view skews) assigned to the same button? In the options/controls menu check the view tab and the plane tab to make sure there is no conflict. You can tell by seeing an orange square in the assignment box on the task you want to perform, indicating you have two tasks assigned to that one button. For example if you see machine gun assigned to stick one/ button three and then go to the view menu and see a view angle with the same button assignment (stick one/button three) you'll see the orange square. Delete and reassign either of those buttons.... or if using Track IR then just delete he view assignment. Hope this helps.
VR-DriftaholiC Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 could it be the in game head movement from g forces.
HagarTheHorrible Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I would go with Roberts suggestion first off. Maybe delete all the non relevant view or camera mapped keys to avoid any conflicts.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Yep, I deleted all of the camera views very early on in the development process. No skewing here.
Anw.StG2_Tyke Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Actually, I think the Headmovement in BoS is pretty bad, and feels more like a static camera than like a head. Then there is somekind of awkward centerness it doesn't feel like i move a head ingame. I don't know but when I wan't to center my view I have to look slightly downward otherwise the camera stays a little up even If I centered my view... and when I look to some sides it feels like the head moves to the opposite cockpit windows... every other flight sim or TrackIR-supporting Game I didn't had these awkward feeling...
Emgy Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Auva, maybe what you are experiencing is the camera inertia setting? It's set to 100% by default. Go to camera controls and look for Rotation Inertia and the other inertia settings. Camera smoothing setting also affects things, and is also set to 50 or 100% by default.

I have been experiencing the same FIx: as calvamos said, movement and rotation inertia are set to 100 by default change them to 0 for much better results
