Finkeren Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 (edited) It's been one if the most widely circulated videos on the Internet for the last couple of years. (And it's fake) Edited September 18, 2014 by Finkeren
Finkeren Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 This is still the best IMHO. It actually fooled a lot of biologists:
Uufflakke Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 @Finkeren: It reminded me also of the of that eagle/baby video. Another one: The Volkswaffe - The Flying Cars of Nazi Germany 1
SCG_Neun Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Oh boy, sorry guys... I fell for it big time....
Sunde Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I dont get this, its so obvious these things are fake? Are they supposed to fool anyone? Or is this whole thread made as a joke?!
SYN_Mike77 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 you're not the first! It is very well done.
Finkeren Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I don't know if it's that obvious. Both of the videos posted are among the more well made and somewhat plausible. CGI has progressed to a point where it doesn't have to look artificial anymore. Usually the best way to spot a fake is, when the camera angles are just a little "too good" and manage to capture all the essential things in a way a random dude filming with his smartphone never would IRL.
neuwildberry Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I never understood how peoply couldnt identify it as fake when it first came out a couple of years ago, it's really obvious imho. The eagle one is a lot better done, but I still think they screwed modelling the first part of the flight path where it's setting up the attack.
SCG_Neun Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 I dont get this, its so obvious these things are fake? Are they supposed to fool anyone? Or is this whole thread made as a joke?! You know...I looked at it and said....no way is this physically possible....but it was just so well done. But you're right...(hangs head in shame). I also come from an older generation where we didn't do a lot of this silly stuff.
sallee Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Me too. I remember sitting in a dark room with a piano playing and a train was coming straight towards us out of a sort of window in the wall....we all ran like hell, I can tell you. This is Yorkshire, so that was two weeks ago.
II./JG27_Rich Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Oh boy, sorry guys... I fell for it big time.... That's ok Neun...The cool part is they show how they did it
DD_bongodriver Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 it is fake but arguably based on a real event, British aerobatic pilot Neil Williams had a wing fold on him in a Zlin and he successfully force landed it by initially flying inverted to reverse the load on the wing and righted it just before touching down. http://www.aerobatics.org.uk/repeats/zlin_wing_failure.htm
BraveSirRobin Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Also the supply of adrenalin was getting rather low by this time. I don't see why.
