I don't know if it's that obvious. Both of the videos posted are among the more well made and somewhat plausible.

 

CGI has progressed to a point where it doesn't have to look artificial anymore. Usually the best way to spot a fake is, when the camera angles are just a little "too good" and manage to capture all the essential things in a way a random dude filming with his smartphone never would IRL.

I never understood how peoply couldnt identify it as fake when it first came out a couple of years ago, it's really obvious imho. The eagle one is a lot better done, but I still think they screwed modelling the first part of the flight path where it's setting up the attack.

You know...I looked at it and said....no way is this physically possible....but it was just so well done. But you're right...(hangs head in shame).  I also come from an older generation where we didn't do a lot of this silly stuff.

it is fake but arguably based on a real event, British aerobatic pilot Neil Williams had a wing fold on him in a Zlin and he successfully force landed it by initially flying inverted to reverse the load on the wing and righted it just before touching down.
