So I have a Space Naviagator I use for other things, but thought it would be cool to use it in BoS. A lot of this may be old hat to the serious simmers but might be news to some

These programs can be used to set up not only the Space Navigator but other hardware not compatible or getting outdated hardware or games to run with HID devices.

This link gives you the links to download VJoy and S2xVJoy. One is a virtual HID controller (VJoy) and the other a hardware to virtual controller mapping device (S2xVJoy).

There is instructions on the page on how to set it all up.

The other program for mapping the virtual device to the Hardware is UJR, which is an alternate, in both cases you need VJoy though

Here are 2 YouTube Vids on the subject, just thought it may be of interest

I'm now using the Space Navigator for pilot head movements and it really good, as his head only moves when you hold the Space Navigator, letting it go snaps you back to the default view

I guess but TrackIR or Freetrack/Facetrack ($free$) feels like second nature and you don't need hands to use them.
