SOLIDKREATE Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I really believe we should have (in a future patch) ambient animations of: ground crews moving about, talking, walking, hanging out ect. pilots boarding aircraft, aircraft having maintenance turns happening, support equipment being used, vehicled transiting the field like tanks, armored cars, VIP vehicles people working in hanagrs, wild life (birds, rabbits ect.), Scramble sirens going off when the mission is go: you should have a first person pilot you control to run to the plane and actually board and start it. It's how every mission should begin. This will give you a sense of even further immersion. 1
Uufflakke Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 As far as I know everything you listed have been suggested already in several other threads. Except for one thing: wild life. Rabbits? The only animals we will see at release must be a crocodile and four frogs.

Given that I have no doubt that we will see windmills,.. ..the whole coding should be already in place. Hence even 3rd parties should have no problem to add "live" content later on.
ThudThunder Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I sure hope so, but I think adding animals is too much. If they cant add columns of troops then how could they randomly generate thousands of animals? Also, your idea of controlling the pilot was already suggested by others and it doesn't seem likely. Maybe they can compromise and add a cut scene? The rest of your ideas sound great!
Skoshi_Tiger Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Flying Corps Gold had birds that flew out of the trees if you flew by at low level. This was very immersive at the edge of the fields during takeoff and landings. I guess because you only got a fleeting glimpse of them they would have had a very low poly count and minimal impact on performance.

Lord_Haw-Haw Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 This could then bring in the very real threat of bird strikes fear by pilots! 1
