lennycutler Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I am going to buy a new PC in the near future. I have the early access BOS installation since it became available on my current PC. What is the correct procedure to get it up and running on the new PC. Do I simply sign into my account from the new PC, and download and install?....or can I just copy over the BOS directory from the Old PC to the new PC? Appreciate any advice.
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 S! It should work off the bat, just download and start playing. I do not think BoS makes hardware checks as Windows does, but as long as your credentials (login/password) are correct you are good to go.
Nonolem Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Your game is already activated, so : Download it, install it, fill in email and password, and play.
AndyJWest Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Yup - all you need is your email address and password, and you should be able to play. It might be worth copying the IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input folder across to avoid having to set up your controls again.
DukeMcFishy Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Yup I can confirm. I changed my motherboard and GPU (but kept my old CPU). Steam needed confirmation because my system changed, so did DCS World, but IL-2 BoS didn't bother so it should do just fine. Edited September 15, 2014 by DukeMcFishy
