What will the Dev's do After they have finished IL2 Battle Of Stalingrad?

ah ok. I knew they had KI's around there sometime...maybe over New Guinea later on I think.

Whichever scenario they do, PLEASE PLEASE no more winter - lets have some greenery!!

I think you mean the Ki-43 Oscar. It was used heavily in New Guinea by the Japanese Army. The Oscar was exceptionally manuverable, but lightly armed. It was my favorite Japanese plane in Il-2, but the Ki-27 ran a very close second.

ah yes thats the one...sorry I used to know this stuff (and too lazy to google it up) but I don't anymore. Put it this way, if they developed it, I'd buy it.

WAY too early for the Ki84 dude.

Wildcats, P400's, SBD's - A6M2/3's,Vals, Betties...

don't forget p-38's, F4U's operated out of Guadalcanal, but didn't arrive there till 3 days after the "end" of Guadalcanal Campaign

The real life Oscar could do a double immelman followed by a hammerhead - how nuts is that?

The only WWII aircraft that could do so.

Yeah love the maneouverability (spelling?) but hated the fact they were flying gas cans. One spray with .50 cals and you start the bbq.

Yep - but that was the case in real life with the Zekes and other Japanese aircraft as well.

No self sealing tanks, and even later in the war when they started to use them - they didn't work very well.

I didn't find it too difficult to stay away from the Allied guns in the Oscar - but I could never use the site on the Oscar to save my life.

The Zeke on the other hand - I did a lot of damage in that plane. :)

Just imagine a B17 as well modeled as the HE 111.

Nuff said.

I'd rather see the B-17 done to DCS standards instead. Not including the Norden (or proper) bombsight is a dealbreaker for me.

The BOS He-111 is cute for sure... But not having a clickable pit is almost a keybinding nightmare if you want to manage the engines and other systems properly in a heavy bomber like the B17.

Early war has no interest for me. I would like to see something thats not about American's winning the war single handed again. So Id be keen on Kursk. or Malta so long as I can fly a machi c202 :)

Malta and the Med theatre has lots of plus points from a sim point of view.

Lots of different aircraft and scenarios, from small scale CAS to some of the greatest carrier ops battles of WW2. From an aviation and naval standpoint pedestal and the earlier convoys were nothing short of epic confrontations between allies and axis. Pedestal was one of the crucial events of WW2 and the guys involved never really got the credit they deserved.

I would prefer they stick on the eastern front for the time being. Kursk would be my very interesting.

I hope that after release they improve the campaign. If not, im not interested in the new scenario. Because there is now another only mp game like clod.

I hope they improve the campaign system before and after release continuously. And then Kursk

I haven't seen anything, so far, to suggest the sim could realistically handle a ground war Kursk scenario. It would seem pretty empty down there. I'm going with Kuban.

Kursk would be nice. Leningrad would also be cool... lots could be done in that theatre, I would think. Including dive bombing on battleships. :)

The crimean campaign in general would be very interesting as well.

Let's face it, the eastern front is not lacking in material for simming. :)
