=LD=Rulo Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 One thing 1 noticed / wondered myself lately is: 1) Every time I go into some fields to pick a plane I have a number near each plane, for example, 109 F X 2, 109G X 4 and Ju87 unlimited. My guess is that the number of planes that are available in that base. 2) Some bases have planes parked that can be strafed And finally my question is: If I strafe the parked planes, Am I decresing the number of planes that can take of from one field or has no effects at all? Cheers Rulo 1

Cheers Rulo It varies from mission to mission, but if you're playing on the Eagles Nest server you can destroy aircraft on the ground and disable the airfield until they get resupplied by He111 or or until field mechanics fix the wreckage (timer based repair) 2
Pupo Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 that is really amazing..... i wonder how is that done? hardcore scripting ( C# like some other sim around ) or something more simple?
Finkeren Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Pupo: Keep in mind, that these select teams have had access to the alpha version of the full mission builder for a while. The BoS FMB is fairly similar to that of RoF, which the teams have years of experience using. Many of the scripts could propably be transfered more or less directly.
Schmalzfaust Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 That's a very good question. I asked it myself. So you can basically high level bomb an airfield and destroy all potential avaliable planes in one rush?
Finkeren Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 That's a very good question. I asked it myself. So you can basically high level bomb an airfield and destroy all potential avaliable planes in one rush? If you're good, and the opposing side has no high patrolling fighters. Yes. Do you see that as a problem?
AbortedMan Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 High level bombing isn't ideal at the moment due to the spread out nature of the aircraft, so a stuka or bomb/gunpod equipped fighter is the best tool for precise attack on parked aircraft...but doing it alone is very difficult because of the threat of ground fire. I'm currently implementing and experimenting with large "ammo dumps" near/on the bases that will take multiple level bombing runs (or single bombing runs with multiple aircraft) to destroy and knock out a base for a longer duration. The mission builder is very intuitive and offers a lot of tools to do many different things. There's a rumor going around that it's too difficult to use, which is false. The framework for the current mission on the Eagles Nest was created by me with about a week of tinkering, and it is my first attempt at mission making in any sim.
LoneMerc Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I have not tried it in the last patch or two but would be nice to get credit for the kills, points for groun attacks on other objects, Fuel, planes etc. Not that I care so much about points just the feeling that my efforts can be seen by me and feel good on a another successful mission. 3
Schmalzfaust Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 If you're good, and the opposing side has no high patrolling fighters. Yes. Do you see that as a problem? No I like it! It's realistic.

AbortedMan Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 They seem to be disabled on custom servers at the moment.
=LD=Rulo Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Thanks for the information. <S> Rulo
Mikey Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 so if you go on a stuka gunpod strafe on airfield and hit allot of planes and do damage but dont destroy, does that mean people will spawn in damaged aircraft ?
AbortedMan Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 No it's not that directly affecting aircraft. It just limits the number of serviceable aircraft. Any air force would be foolish to send an aircraft up that is damaged.

Emgy Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 it would give meaning to the pre-flight controls check .
