Anybody Running VKB T-Rudder & Tinybox - Help

Hi

I am new to the game and not an experienced flight simmer or computer expert, so go easy please.

I've asked the question in support but also thought somebody out in the general community may be able to assist.

I'm using Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick and got the VKB T-Rudder today. Set it all up and windows sees it as a game controller,  it runs through "Tinybox".

The Windows cal check seems to work Ok, Win 7 64 bit, so no issues there.

But the game just doesn't seem to recognize it as a device, trying to add the rudder for Yaw in setting does nothing and I'm left with the "?" I thought I'd post up in the vain hope somebody might be running one or another VKB products and come to my assistance.

Would love to hear how you like it once you get it to work.

Thanks for the replies guys

I'll post up on the other forum & see if I can get some tips. I have no doubt its me that's missing something not the game or the rudder bar.

If/When I get them to work I'll post up on the solution that worked for me and a general step by step setup. It may not be 100% technically correct when I do, but willing to post any knowledge I gain

I'd be delighted to give feedback. I was looking for a reasonably priced, but well made rudder control. These are well put together and physically putting them together is not nearly as daunting as the manual would have you think. The manual is however (IMHO) lacking a detailed setup for the cal program and the full instructions for the software is only available in Russian at this time.

Many thanks

Hey, folks!

Just wonder, if it's interesting for you to read some "unprofessional" overviews about VKB' TRudder and Fat Mamba?

I've written two short articles with some pictures about em at russian BoS forum, so if you are interested in i could translate them. What do you think about it?

PS here they are:

Ok, got it. Not sure i could re-record the video with white socks, but will write almost the same articles.

Anyway the most interesting in the video is not my voice, but rudder's amplitude range and graphs.

Valdamar, I'd be very interested in any information, in English, that you could give on VKB products, especially the Fat Mamba or Mamba Light. Thanks in advance.

Heh just to ad I got them running my stupid fault in not setting them up quite right and not familiar with the software and axis setting.

Many thanks to Gift, went to the Russian forum and got in touch with Ilya at Simpro over Skype. He spent quite a while helping me out, absolutely first class service and a super nice guy.

I love the pedals, short range but very smooth and suited to a chair as you push down with your toes rather than push your whole foot. Super well made all metal loveliness, even down to the Tinybox.

When I get some time I'll post up some pictures if anybody is interested

I heard back from Eduard from VBK and he said that the joysticks are currently being manufactured and, all things considered, may be available for European Distribution early November and distributed outside Europe the end of October. He would try to post more info on the VBK website later this week.
