=LD=Hethwill Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Was watching this at lunch break and paying attention to stick and rudder moves along with how the bird is responding tot he inputs. Maybe we should have the air resistance increased in BoS, it is quite noticeable in the video, but in the game we have faster response on stick and rudder actions. No idea if code behind allows it but it could improve the overall feeling. 3
FuriousMeow Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I don't know, I didn't see anything convincing considering he was doing minimal input and receiving minimal output. The plane wasn't quickly rolling when he applied about 2 inches of left stick, just a small bank.
Leaf Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Off-topic: the lateral visibility in the Yak 3 seems to be pretty awful. The cockpit looks nice and spaceous but the pilot seems to be very low down in the cockpit.
=LD=Hethwill Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Yes, I don't know as well, but it surely doesn't do the sudden elastic moves that is for sure.
FuriousMeow Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) For sure. Just to offer a different viewpoint, the amount of stick movement he is using there, is a very slight push on our joysticks - unless you have an extension of course. When I'm just doing basic turns, nothing too much, I just nudge my stick a little and I don't have an extension so "a little will do ya" applies for me and when I do that there isn't any strange elastic moves, noticeable adverse yawing, or other extreme behaviors. =LD=Hethwill Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) It is a G-4 and well worth a watch. I enjoy a lot to see a lot of rudder and pitch work for the turns instead of aileron. Also the stick rest position seems to be highly comfortable and ample. Also you can watch slat working on the right edge. Edited October 16, 2014 by =LD=Hethwill_Khan 1

unreasonable Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 On the G4 video - hard to see because of the viewing angle but once he has put the aeroplane into a banked turn it looks as though he is cross controlling with the ailerons.
=LD=Hethwill Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Opposite pull to get it into a slide maybe
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 S! Quite a few things noted on that Bf109G-4 video that contradict BoS behaviour altogether Thanks for sharing.
GOZR Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 A lot contradictions but ain't bad for a game. It's what I say to myself now.
Rheinmetall Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Either way, its an awesome 'experience'. When I was playing "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" in the '90s I would only dream of this quality. http://www.pcgameshardware.com/&menu=browser&mode=article&image_id=817178&article_id=642347&page=1
Solmyr Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I fail to see that "many contradictions" but, guys, still keep in mind that this 109 G4 "Rote Sieben" is flown without any weapon and the possible weight differences between a few liters or full fuel too, and the fact she's been reconstructed many times after many crashes.
