Willy__ Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Guess it doesnt happen in the sim when you bail out, but I busted out my props a few times in some other people's chutes.
Elbows Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 My first ever kill (just putzing around in the single-player missions) in BoS...I scrapped with a Lagg...shot it down, only to see the pilot bail out ---- come flying through the cone of smoke and he smacked into my propeller, bending it...and I crashed. I would imagine if you entangle with a chute, it would (at the very least) cut up the chute and cause the pilot to fall to his death. Would it screw up the plane? Don't know - I may try this later.
SharpeXB Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I was just watching the classic series World at War and in the Battle of Britain episode an RAF pilot remarks on how a German pilot got his chute tangled on his wing and he had to slip him off. It would be great for parachute failures to be modeled in the sim. Bailing out is sometimes riskier than ditching.
