3D models are amazing. I hope ED brings these incredible models to life.

 

 

Note: After reading through the thread, it appears that the I-16 and the Il-4 were originally planned for Battle of Moscow, the cancelled sequel to Cliffs of Dover. However, these models could be re-used for the un-announced expansion to Battle of Stalingrad.

You'll have better chances of seeing these in BoS than DCS, but those are just unfinished 3D models which, let's face it, is a minor part of the modeling of an aircraft in BoS.

Looks like it's just leftovers from the Battle of Moscow project. Doesn't mean anything, unfortunately.

This planes have a much more higher polygone count than the from BoS because its from CloD. Looks like the models are to 99% finished.

 

The Question is who is the right owner from the CloD Source now?

 

Read this from the Developer Diary 1 they could use models or textures from CloD if they want.

Only some of the models and textures may be used. Here's the result of test aircraft exports to a new project (not showing the final quality, just model export).

Definitely a plane we could use...but I suspect any future BoS planes will be predominantly ground-up builds...not refurbs of various 3D models.

Irony: Nobody mentioned DCS.

Irony: Those are CloD models.

 

The joke missed? The one where that was very obviously a joke and was never intended to represent a real screen capture. The "Sim A is better than Sim B" retort is a redundant and sophomoric one.

Were those models produced under contract by SaSQson's Ukraine studio? If so there probably isn't much chance of seeing them in BoS, as SaSQson seems to be spending his time these days copying and pasting hate spam against BoS in various review sites.
