Finkeren Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 How did you manage to restrain yourself from pulling the trigger?
AceRevo Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) I liked how he pushed you rather then drive straight through you Must be hard to code these tank so they will fire on you if youre on the ground rather then in the air, would probably make them become AAA vehicles lol.. I liked what I saw. Youre not supose to be where u were anyway Edited September 4, 2014 by AceRevo
Finkeren Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The impressive thing is, that the push causes the tank to veer off course. The tanks are under the same physics model as the planes, and it shows. It's been improved from RoF also, where you could originately play "tank bowling" by deliberately crashing into tanks to make them slide across the landscape at 100 km/h
DD_Arthur Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Oh and btw, how do i embed youtube vids directly here? On YouTube, click on the "share" option then click on "embed". Tick the box marked "use old embed code" and refresh the page. Then copy the url address and paste here. The forum software will do the rest. Make sure you are using Chrome and not IE. 6high Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) How did you manage to restrain yourself from pulling the trigger? I was completely baffled- i crashed about 50m away from the tank, watched it turn towards me(!) and waited for it to open fire....i was too puzzled to even hit the pause button to begin recording It seems the tanks do not see planes as targets anymore, once they have crashlanded (that was quite different in the old Il2). 71st_AH_Hooves Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I beleive we can make them see targets. They most likely did not add it into the trigger.
Finkeren Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Also: When your plane has crashed and the enigne is destroyed, you cease to be a target to all AI.
ScotsmanFlyingscotsman Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Obviously his orders ver to keep the road clear, and he vas only following orders!
Elbows Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Also: When your plane has crashed and the enigne is destroyed, you cease to be a target to all AI. Yeah, pretty much this. Probably the AI that keeps aircraft from following destroyed planes or dead pilots etc. Once you've crashed you become a non-factor. As cool as it would be for soldiers to hop out of the tank and take you prisoners...it's a flight sim, and I think we have some limits on where we spend the processing power! :D
