ST_ami7b5 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) Hi hardware gurus! I have just upgraded my C: system SSD disc from 40GB (too small already) to 120GB. So now I have a spare empty 40GB SSD. Would you recommend to install BoS on it? Or, what would be the best usage for that disc? Thanks. Edited August 15, 2013 by Rinzai
FuriousMeow Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I put all of my games on SSD, faster load times but that's all you'll get. Maybe faster patching as well. I would recommend using your SSD for BoS and any new games you purchase as long as you have the space.
Yellowsub Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 The loading times of ROF are quite long (imho) even with an SDD. So I guess it will be good for BOS too.
FuriousMeow Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 From the point of launching RoF to getting into a QMB mission flying with each flight maxed at five planes each flight using a different plane and each flight in a different skin on the full sized western front map with all ground objects selected it takes about a minute for me. Maybe two minutes. That's really not that long at all.
skline00 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I still put my games on HDD due to the size of them (Steam games huge). However, I also had a 40G Intel SSD that I used to put ROF on. It previously had been on the HDD. MUCH FASTER!
