Jeez, the bluebird of happiness certainly shat in his cereal bowl the day he penned that. If i was more perceptive I might suspect him of having a small grudge against a certain person.

They used to be tolerable, and they even had a decent section about sims every week or so. But its gone down hill over the past couple of years. I stopped reading it long ago.

So a somewhat positive preview of BoS, that seems well written and well explained, about the good and bad, is now a horrible site because some peoples views in the comment section don't align with yours?

It is not the article that is bad but some comments are really "bizarre".

I do agree that this sim is light in the damage model and ground population. Hopefully they will fix that :D

I thought the review was fair and appropriate. The commentors on the other hand done even have a constructive way to disagree. @Vaxxtx, I believe that is what people are commenting about. Some people are so stuck in their own fantasy of hatred that no amount of good will ever be allowed in their viewpoint. Pretty pathetic to be honest.

The person claiming to be Saqson (SQSN) in that article's comments also did the exact same commenting in another article on another website (pcworld). i don't think its fair to RPS to denigrate them based on an indvidual that has a clear butt hurt mentality and is on a pointlessly idiotic crusade to make the claims they are making.

 

That person is clearly on a vendetta, but does not represent RPS - just their own delusional desires to spread lies and nonsense regarding BoS.

He was a 3D modeller involved in Il-2. He also did modelling for RoF with the Halberstadt CL-II, so that is why I'm not convinced it is Saqson.

 

Beyond that, i won't toss hearsay or speculate - but the above are facts.

it's Siggi.  He posted the exact same vomit on other websites under his siggi handle.  I was also commenting on the other two people bragging about their criminal behavior.  Just not the kind of place I would like to hang around.  The article was ok though. A tad overwritten for my taste but that is a taste thing.  I will add that I really enjoyed the authors answer to Siggi's post though.

Yes, I've had my encounters with PFunk - but he's not a representative of RPS. He is another bottom feeder. I would just rather not insult a website/publication/whatever that gave a very neutral review when it is individuals in the comments that are willfully being terrible individuals.

Nice job on totally misrepresenting statements. RPS was bad long before this article.

Sqsn = Siggi et al. Everything said about me is completely false as usual.

 

The NP bullshit is a newer attack though. I have had nothing to do with NP in almost ten years. All I said was that we wouldn't build specific support for a device that violates NPs patents which is what all third party head trackers do (except Oculus which we are supporting). To openly support them would piss on NP which could have turned off TrackIR support for our products. Who would have liked that? In the end all the third party head tracker stuff works with our games because NP did nothing to stop them.

 

I'm attacked because I dared to do something for this hobby and I dare to speak to the sim community. Many of the decisions the sim community writ large doesn't like have nothing to do with me. I just make a convenient target. Someday I will give a tell-all interview about all the rats in this genre and who screwed who.
