6./ZG26_5tuka Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Willy Messerschmitt definetly had some talent for aesthetical aorcrafts. His plane designs are ART. 1

Leaf Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 I think not my young friend. "Quick Robin! To the BatHeinkel" Granted, that pitch-black Heinkel looks very nice, but I think she needs to lose a few pounds. Especially off the wings. Right now she looks like a fat eagle. Kind of. 1
K_Baar Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) very nice :-) Edited October 17, 2014 by K_Baar
=LD=Hethwill Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Not the most beautiful by far, even in BoS. Both Lagg-3 and 190 have way more ballsy character and convincing lines. Good screenies though.
unreasonable Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 You can keep your phallic 109s, I am more of a boob man myself...not in the game yet, maybe in the 2035 expansion pack? 2

I get where you're coming from, but christ, keep the tits in proportion, for heaven's sake. I mean... look at that thing. There's more tit than body on that. God knows what the designer was thinking. Maybe he was a boob man too?
DD_bongodriver Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I find German fighters a bit 'meh' aesthetically, though the 109 is nice, but I really liked the He100 design, much more aesthetically pleasing, for me German bombers were true works of art, particularly the Ju88 and even more so it's derivatives.
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 S! The German approach was more practical than aesthetic I think. To me propably from British designs the Typhoon or Tempest hold most aesthetic value, they just look great. And of course the Sea Fury.
Mainstay Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The most beautifull aircraft is not even in the game yet. 2
unreasonable Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 It is interesting how many aeroplane designs seem to conform to, or perhaps contribute to, national stereotypes: German designs - function defines form Italian designs - look fast and flash, good for impressing young ladies US designs - powerful, dynamic but rather vulgar British designs - redolent of sports cars in country lanes, thoroughbreds at Ascot, a lost world of beauty, class and effortless superiority 1
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I rather like the American designs. Take it back or I'll wrestle you or cuss ya' !!! Do you see what I did there? Do.......You......See?
unreasonable Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Seriously though, the Whirlwind was not a success, but this was...if beauty in an aeroplane is some combination of grace and power there have been few to compare with the wooden wonder, and it was also arguably the best light bomber and night-fighter of the war. The only problem was that the wooden construction, while offering many advantages, limited mass production. Also had nice boobs when seen from the front, but more Jean Harlow than Dolly Parton. 1
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) One of the most beautyfull fighter designs ever. Maybe ingame some day as well? Corto Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) sorry but the most beauifull plane ever and by far is IMHO: and the 2. on my list is this plane: Edited October 18, 2014 by Corto
unreasonable Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Hey Corto, glad to see that someone else has good taste, at least where the Mossie is concerned. The other one is the Uhu He 219? Certainly scary looking - more like a praying mantis than an owl.

Wrong forum mate, I think you wanna post her onto http://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/ Speaking of which, great cartoon in Private Eye of woman sitting at a desk, big "Weightwatchers" sign behind her and two trays on the desk, "stOUT" and "thIN" 1
unreasonable Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Lucky the stripes on the Jug are vertical, horizontal ones would be a fashion disaster on a fatty like that. As for posting the Hs129 in a "most beautiful plane" thread: the community joke thread is elsewhere, surely you have gone to the wrong place. 1
ImPeRaToR Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) I don't have a definite favourite but since nobody mentioned it yet: Yak-3Imo it's both aestetically appealing and yet all purpose - light weight, small wings and overall small size, no cannon buldges causing any extra drag etc. Complete opposite of the P-47 :D Edited October 21, 2014 by ImPeRaToR 1

Beauty and beast in one, I've got at least 80% of my 109 kills in this type. She is a marksman's dream. :D Edited October 21, 2014 by TheSaturnV
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Not as slim and cleanly shaped as the 109 but I agree Yak-3 is looking good Calling out a favourite is rather difficult indeed. There are many nice looking planes and many nice handling planes, most noticeable the ones being both. So rather than focusing on one I'm pretty fascinated by several different aircraft in the same fashion. As for divebombers the Curtiss Helldiver is certainly one very beautyfull bird. unreasonable Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Thank God [Jg26]5tuka is not decorating my house or landscaping my garden. His aviation picks are interesting looking, certainly, almost cute in their ugliness like sallee's little dog, but if that is beauty BoS SP campaign is an immersive experience.
