Spinnetti Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Just downloaded last night. Two things stumping me (I have an X-52, CH pedals and Track-IR) 1. I can't find "Flaps on a dial" IRL, flaps have more than one setting, but the game only has "Flaps up" and "Flaps down"? Can that be right? in the original IL2, I could put flaps on a dial 2. The game isn't recognizing several buttons on my stick that show up fine in the control panel - the ones I normally use for cannon (stick pinky) and engine start (throttle, thumb button) - key assignments don't work for these... Thx
Bullets Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I cant find the flaps indicator in the HE111.. ? In expert mode I have no idea what degree my flaps are. Is there actually a dial or do I have to guess?
PA-Sniv Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Flaps don't always have more than one setting, depending of aircraft. Some are manuals, other hydraulics... Look at this post to find cockpit descriptions for all aircraft. On He-111, flaps indicator is beside the gear indicator: 2
Spinnetti Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Thanks, that helps. Guess I need to use buttons. For the Fw-190, "The flaps have four positions: retracted, 15° for take-off, 30° for use in the event of a balked landing, and fully down for landing." (http://www.shockwaveproductions.com/store/fw190/tactical_trials.htm) For my next challenge, the game won't recognize my x-52 keys even though they show fine in the control panel... (the pinky button I use for cannons on the stick, and the thumb button I use for toggling engine start on the throttle). Thanks! Edited September 2, 2014 by dspinnett
Imur6 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) if your throttle have switches, You can programming the flap function (F, Shift+F) to one of those switches. Flaps moving well by Holding up or down the switch Edited September 4, 2014 by Imur6
