I really hope 777 have taken on board the desire by the community to Mod BoS. 

 

It's one of Arma's strongest strengths and it keeps a game that could otherwise become a little dull, given the extended period that we play them for (RoF, 4 years and counting ?).

 

Sounds are an obvious mod package but it's also small things.  I was watching the video of the live stream, particularly the cockpit, and I was idly wondering if the metal sheen effect from the externals was also present on the cockpit panel/interior, especially given the scuffs and paint wear and that made me think "I wonder if it'll be possible to mod/repaint the cockpit textures (not possible in RoF) if someone felt the desire or need.

 

There's just so much talent out there (absolute heroes, each and every one, just look at what Team Fusion are doing with CLoD) it would be a shame if it wasn't a major integral part of BoS

Check out the 3RD Party Mods section at ROF forums, there are already mods that change textures to cockpit gauges so I imagine the same will be possible in BOS, With the greater popularity of WWII genre am sure there will be more modding interest in BOS.

Mods seem to be encouraged for ROF, mods on/off button in default game and even an "official" approved mods separate forum, I hope this will continue for BOS

 Yes! MODs are the freedom of creation... was incredible what and how much was did by MOD community... the power of more than 25000 fans can do... sounds, effects, maps...
