Operatio Uranus: The Raid on Kamyshin

First episode of the Operation Uranus series for BoS; a multiplayer session on the US Eagles server.

 

Stalingrad

November 1942

 

The german Sixth Army is now surrounded and on the brink of destruction. The Luftwaffe is tasked with creating an air bridge over Stalingrad to resupply their trapped forces while reinforcements are on the way to break the encirclement.   

 

Taking off from Erzovka, Hooves, Rambo and Chuck are sent in Pe-2 Peshkas to lead the russian offensive. Their objective is to bomb the Kamyshin airfield form which He-111s depart to supply the german pocket. Meanwhile, some experienced Luftwaffe pilots patrol the sky and hunt for russkie planes. Will the bombers reach their target? Will they be able to return home in one piece?
