How do all

I have been following the development of this game since the start, but due to a severe case of "Cloditis" * I swore off pre-purchasing after having not only my fingers, but toes burnt.

Anyway, throwing caution to the wind, and based on the largely positive noises coming from this forum,I went and bought it.

I was a bit worried because frankly my computer is getting on a wee bit,but I have been massively impressed with the look of the game, even on low settings,But more than that I love the feel of the game, its given me exactly the sensation I got when I first fired up il2 all those years ago,a real feeling of immersion and genuine excitement,so even at only 70% completion I feel I have more than got my monies worth. Its a steep learning curve, and I have damaged my own aircraft more than I have inflicted on the enemy, but hopefully one day I will risk a bit of multi player, more than likely as a bullet magnet, but that's life!

* regarding clod,I have it patched up and it plays well now,So my intention was not to" put the boot in" so to speak, but as a primarily single player I cant get past lining up behind a gaggle of Spitfires and have them carry on in formation as I attempt to blow chunks out of them :)

Onwards and upwards indeed! Enjoy yourself and try not to tickle the ground with your wing tip too much.
See you on my six!

Good luck with BoS. There's a lot to like already. A year from now we should be over any growing pains we see now.

Hello Carts!   Nice to see you here :salute:

IL2 BOS, although I am trying to find all arguments to not like it, is a very very special flightsim, has astounding visuals, physics, and immersion, and while I also use and would like to restrict my dedication to DCS World, with it's new ww2 birds, I can't give up on IL2 because, there is simply no other sim that gives me such a perfect sensation of "being there"....

And... it's not yet released / final!!!! So, more positive things to come until the end of the month!

What you describes here its the same that I feel when I purchase the game, and old and venerable perfume of that amazing sim. Welcome aboard mate.

IMO CloD still features the best Emil and Stuka to date.
