-=PHX=-Satch Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) I have tested the ramdisk in BOS and there is no difference in performance between my SSD and the virtual storage in my RAM... I think perhaps this trick can help users with HHD. Another test that i have made with excellent results was overclocking my micro: AMD Phenom II x6 1090t 3.2 GHz Now with this results i can´t roll back with the stock settings... CaK_Rumcajs Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 First of all, sorry my english Anyone has try this tool in BOS? I have 8GB RAM and i´m thinking to test BOS using ramdisk... Need opinions! Windows OS is smart enough to keep your files in memory. There is no need to install a RAM disk in order to improve load times of BOS. All you need is to have enough RAM. My experiments show that rougly 12GB of RAM shloud be enough for most users to provide ample space for caching. 8GB is fine but probably not enough to keep everything your PC runs in memory and it may lead to ocassional memory swapping.

Static Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Satchenko, what software did you use to bench and plot the chart you posted? I am bored and since I am installing BoS fresh I decided to try a RAMDisk install this time using the ROG RAMDisk utility.
-=PHX=-Satch Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) Static: I use Fraps to benchmark and Excel to make charts. Tips: I set the key "P" in Fraps to launch the benchmark, the same key that use BOS to pause/start the recorded track. Also i set time limit to: 120s in Fraps to stop the benchmark always in the same moment. Sorry my english... Edited September 17, 2014 by Satchenko
