@ Moderator:

Please delete this topic 'cause I made a mistake and I seem not to be allowed my own topic for some reason.

Thanks in advance!

I've just had a go down the bottom-takes a while to fiddle about but there is a way I think.Like you though, just haven't found it yet unfortunately...

I just copy and pasted the address in and it embedded the video automatically.

Click the third button from the left ( next to the eraser icon ) and select the Media option from the list.

Should do the trick when you add the youtube link.

I wanted to make a simple tutorial for it because on other sites it is quite simple -a click and go- but here we seem to "struggle" with it. I thought I found the solution but during the making of my post it turned out different.

The reason why I wanted to have this topic deleted is because including an embedded video (which already shows a preview/screenshot) is very buggy here.

There are several ways of doing it and sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't.

-You can copy-paste the YouTube URL in the 'link' icon (that chain symbol right underneath 'Size' in the toolbar) and sometimes it shows up. But most of the times the only thing you see is an underlined URL.

-Option #2 is to click on the BBCode icon (the tiny square left of 'Font' in the toolbar), select 'Media' in the dropdown menu an and copy-paste the YouTube URL in the 'Media URL' bar. But the only thing that shows up then is a black square with a white arrow in it. Just like in post #6.

-Option #3 is to click on the BBCode icon, select 'Media' in the dropdown menu and copy-paste the YouTube embedded code (it starts with <iframe width etc..)  in the 'Media URL' bar.

Thén the embedded video (Hurray!) shows up. But as soon as I add some extra text to it or paste a Photobucket IMG link in my post the video disappears in the preview option or after submitting my post.

Like I said I am talking from my own experience and it all became more obvious when making the tutorial. I tried out all kind of options and combinations but just a simple embedded video with some text and/or an image doesn't seem to be that easy to achieve.

Hopefully someone more experienced can shine a light on this issue. Maybe I overlooked something.

Basically the only thing I want is something simple like this which is only visible in a screenshot of a preview of my post. Which disappears for some reason after posting.

@stG2_Manfred.

For me it doesn't work.

Just a white screen, a black square with a white arrow in it.

But... the interesting/annoying thing is that when I do exactly the same thing by using the 'Quote' option (instead of posting a new comment) and previewing it everything is as it should be. Just like yours.

To make it more confusing: Yesterday I posted a comment including an embedded video and everything worked out fine. Today I did exactly the same thing but unfortunately the black square white arrow showed up again.  :dash:

Well, tell me...
