ThudThunder Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 THIS IS POSSIBLY SERIOUS: A WHILE AGO ROF HAD A SECURITY BREACH ASKING PEOPLE TO LOG IN WITH THEIR USERNAME AND PASSWORD THROUGH ANOTHER WINDOW, RECENTLY I ATTEMPTED TO LOG ON AND THE WINDOW POPPED UP. This may be nothing but I would advise no one log in through that window, seeing as how that is similar to the last security breach.
FuriousMeow Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) When you click cancel, you aren't redirected to another site - which is what typically happens in those scenarios that something has been injected to steal information. In this case you stay on RoF's site, but recieve an IIS error. I'd be more inclined to believe IIS configuration problem. But to be safe, don't input your information. gavagai Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Rise of Flight does not retain any financial information from its customers. No credit card numbers, nothing. This is ridiculous hysteria. Anyone who has been with the sim for a while knows they have occasional forum issues.
Dutch2 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Think [i hope] it is maintenance related, because I did do a attempt to log in.
ThudThunder Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 I personally wouldn't do anything until it goe away, just to be safe because it has happened before.
Jason_Williams Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I don't now what you are talking about. We have no security breach currently or in the past. Do not spread such false rumors! If anything is popping up it is probably malware on your own system. Our servers contain no personal information or CC info. Jason 2
