Since it gets harder and harder to find threat again with important information about planes I decided to creat a threat for the He 111.

Why can't I edit my post anymore?

because there's a limited time (15mn) to edit on this forum.

I edited the post for you.

Link appears to be dead. I'll create one for both high altitude guides right away.

I hope you don't mind.

Nope, I don't. This isn't "my threat". It's one for people searching for information :)

A mod will have to edit the threat again, I think :)

Thank you!

Excellent guide but I'm afraid to print as it will kill my reserve of black ink.

Possible to make a printable version?

Thank you very much for your Tutorial. It helps me as a Flying-Noob a lot to understand the setup. But I still have one Question left: I started flying in "expert-mode" recently, and everytime i throttle up to more than 20-30% it tells me, I am in "climb" or "starting" mode in the HE111. But when i regulate it to "continuous mode" i loose speed until i fall out of the sky after a while. What is it i do wrong? Should i set up my fuel in another way, or have i to cool my engines more? Or something completely different?

Greetings,

Boreas.

I'm having the same problem, Boreas. I've been using chucks guide and also this video to try to figure it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIpQfkyhAas

So far from what I can tell, the He111 has automatic fuel mixture, but you can increase it by using the supercharger shortcut? I have no idea what this does in practicality.

Also, the problem seems to be keeping the manifold pressure and rpm in the happy zones. Manifold pressure is on the upper right of the readouts above your head and is measured in atmospheres (ATA). That should sit around 1.1 for cruising. The RPM is what's killing me and is the two dials above manifold pressure. I see in the tutorial that they seem to control the RPM with propellor pitch and they change it manually, but I can't get mine to change. The controls just do nothing. I CAN feather the propellors with lctrl + F and make the plane drop rpm and fall out the sky, though. Cruising RPM should apparently be less than 2200, but I can't get this to happen without experiencing the same problems as you.

The HE111 has only the option to switch between Automatic Supercharger mode and Supercharger stage1. I usualy let it in automatic mode.

IF you flying the HE111 in Expertmode you have to Controll RPM and Throttle.

So check in your Config if youre using the right keys for RPM. Its Called Propellers Pitch Control. There is also an entry for Prop Pitch High and Low but those are for the BF109 only i guess.

To increase Speed.. increase RPM first.. than ManifoldPressure. To slow down decrease MP then RPM.

If it reads 1.10 ATA / 2200 RPM you usualy set the RPM to 2200 and trying to get the MP to 1.10ATA.. if its lower, its not a big deal.. but dont go over the recommended MP...

Hope that this is correct if not i'm glad if someone more experienced can correct me.

Also take a look in RequiemsTutorial for MP, PropPitch etc. on Youtube.

Thanks very much for that, Tam. I think my prop pitch controls just aren't working the way that they're bound (though they are still default though, so I don't know?) I'll play around with them and see how I go.

First throttle then propellers :)

Fly this bird like a beaufighter or a mosquito and it will reward you well.

312 Hours 18,746 Ground Kills in WoL (never once touched or used the hack of a bombsight except to check weather accurately)

30* Flaps, 50-65% Throttle with max rpm and Balance brakes and elevator Deflection and then......
Bush Pilot taxi to the runway.
