There’s still a few hours left before the next early access session starts so I’m going to tell you about our work on multiplayer mode, share my impression about IL2BOS thru the glasses of Oculus Rift HD and show you the inner world of the Peshka bomber. Well, first things first. Intense discussion of graphical presets turned to be almost as hot as we expected. We accepted that feedback and resumed work according to the plan. By the way, please note this Preset Optimization thread. We kindly ask you to share with us the performance stats of your PCs running the game on different settings presets. This info will help us to tune the presets more precisely and optimize our software for numerous specific PC configurations. Your cooperation is highly appreciated and truly needed. Read more You saw the Stuka on an airfield last week. All mods for it are ready and will be available for you on the day it’s released for early access. And today I offer you this table that shows all unlockable modifications for the Ju-87 D-3. And of course the Pe-2 series 87screenshots that Albert promised to show you. You were first shown the exterior model of Peshka about two months ago. Today it’s time to take a look inside of it. Finkeren Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Oh well, another weekend in the skies above Stalingrad in my "trusty" LaGG isn't going to hurt. I'm amazed to hear, that multiplayer is only a week or two away BoS seems to be progressing in highest gear. The Peshka pit seems great and really cramped. I always thought it looked way too spacious in the old IL2. The unlocks for the Ju 87 are interesting. It really seems like only the very special stuff (1800kg bomb, gun pods and special camouflage) is going to be unlocks, which I take to mean, that all the standard loadouts will be available from the start, which I think is an excellent choice. Looking forward to it all and to this session as well.

MolotoK Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 How well does spotting and identifying targets work with "HD" Oculus Rift? Spotting distant planes and ground targets on a 1080p monitor is pretty difficult. How is it with the low res and high FOV of Rift?

csThor Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 @ Zak I know this counts for nothing (given that there will be a Fw 190) but the Bk 3.7 gunpods were not used before late April/early May 1943 on the Taman Peninsula - they're deceidedly out of place in a Stalingrad setting. Secondly I need to stress that weapons beyond the 500kg range (SC 500 and SD 500) were considered special ordnance by the Luftwaffe and their use had to be ordered by the Fliegerkorps or even Luftflotte. It wouldn't do for the campaign to be flown constantly with SC 1800 "Satan" bombs when the bread&butter loadout was with SC 50s and SC 250s or 500s. 4

I know not many members have it in the dev. version but those that do say it is a game changer for them. It would seem that when BoS is released and then OR it will be a marriage made in heaven for us. Roll on the end of the year... Look on it as seducing a beautiful woman, you want it to last, no? I can almost taste my disappointment. I was so fiercely hoping for the IL2 to appear this weekend. Ah well................

And a teaser about the HE111 H-6 What I did not like is the seemingly "set in stone" preset thing. People have told to oblivion and back that SSAO has to go or make it toggleable. Why not? Also the HDR setting can go or make it adjustable. RoF has a nice GUI for the options so what prevents BoS using the same? If all we get is a few hard coded presets I will be dissapointed and bet quite a bit of the community too. Nevertheless will test them out and report as asked, no problem there. Have a nice weekend all. PS. Out of curiosity what were the qualifications to become a tester as there was no application whatsoever I saw. Not complaining, just asking. III/JG53Frankyboy Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 will be both versions of the WB-81 MG81 pods be modelled? the last stream showed only the B version, the one with firing 15 degrees down. i my opinion the A version, firing forward and aimed with the Revi is more usefull without softtargets like infantrie.....

There's so many tasks and quite a few specialist in the studio, that's why I was advised to give the tea, more time in advance. So, it's a few weeks left till multiplayer is available, or one mobth maximum. Be sure, we have something else to entertain you for a while

Hopefully we could have access to the game telemetry some time in the future so I could fly the game with my full motion rig that I'm in the process of building.
