Sounds and looks like an arcade game from the 90's...  Its terrible.  Its like i am firing massive diamond tracers and the guns are from some kinda steam punk game...

From what I readed, looks like the tracers are bad made, but the Smoke and impacts are good, looks like an alpha problem, for sure they can change it, but we need vids

They said that effects are very early.

S! Come on guys lighten up it is an ALPHA build give them some time, it will be right.

If something its good done, right the Smoke impacts and its not bad at all, they only need time to correct the ones that left

Try to be a bit more reasonable in your tone, Farber. It's an Alpha. I'm sure the Devs are aware of how things are.

First off, way to show your sensitive side.  I would refrain on the word stupid. 

 

Second of all, I thought the sound was by far the best and most realistic MG, Cannon. 

 

The puffs of smoke when the cannon bursts are incredibly good. 

 

I like this direction the team has taken. 

 

Oh Note, I have never fired a 7.62 But I have fired plenty of heavy MGs.

I'm not  a real pilot, and never shot any real gun.. But for me it sound and feels more realistic than any other games  :salute:

Some people just know how to post constructive feedback on an ALPHA version of a sim.

Are we going to start another The grass is too green? Sure needs some Optimization and tuning, but the effects that already good done, are really good done.

They're more than aware, they've always been,

Ages ago, before giving us the pre-alpha demo, someone clearly stated "there will be ZILLIONS wrong things, and effects will be absolutely placeholders, NOT even close to final stuff"

 

Is that so hard to understand?

 

Wrong and horrible means nothing DURING the early production stages.

Such an opinion can be expressed only when the job is done, sorry.

My first impression:

Bf109: it fires longer as the the gun Button is actually pressed, Way too less ammo, especially the machine guns.

LaGG3: Without any chances unless surprise and altitude advantage.

Contact visibility is not acceptable as it is without icons.

But it is a alpha and there is room, and need, for improvement.

wow some one needs a pacifier.

 

I for one was in the military and the tracers look good to me, Sounds on the other hand my guess is they are in work. (Alpha)

agree on  trying to fly that lagg in a combat role. it is....painful lol

 

contact vis also appears to be problematic, many times i didnt know where the AI was until either I (or more time than not) he was right on my butt. 

 

I am not so sure about the ammo, I have only done a few flights, but if that is the true ammo loadout, then we all need to learn how to work with it...short bursts only when you know you will hit.

I was just gonna say... I don't think that helps though. I think it looks and sounds good. After all, no one here have ever flown or used the guns from any of these planes so what do you know?

I actually dont have an issue with either. the tracers seem to be solid, albeit not quite what i saw from my M4. The sounds are solid too i think...expecially when ground firing with the engine off...hearing the brass hit the deck brings a smile to my face

If you gents would like something changed than please give us trustworthy references. Documents. It's not burocracy, it's a sim, you know.

Farber, there's nothing wrong with feedback. But it always helps to try at least a modicum of politeness, especially when a game is still in a rather early development phase.

 

It's actually kinda sad that I seemingly have to point this out.

Hello Zak, IMHO, The tracers are on a Good way, Just  some Tuning, nothing serious, you can really search some good videos about tracers and calibers on the internet, and find some really similar scenes to the recreated in Bos, so I think its on the good way, actually, I really like this Realistic style like in "Arma" series, than in previous Simulators.

no, really you didnt. first off, keep in mind that the rounds you are firing are actually pretty sizable, as such the tracer is going to be larger (although WT takes it to the extreme)

secondly, have you ever ACTULLY fired a weapon before? like anything larger than a BB gun? Hav your fired live tracer rounds? Have you ever fired a 7.62 caliber weapon system or higher (m-60, m240, etc). I already know the answer by your comments leading this thread off, I can assure you that the sounds are NOT like something out of a 90's video game, nor are the guns.

Zak, there's plenty of video reference out there, I'm sure we can gather some stuff if needed, especially tracer kind, bullet behaviour etc.. But I'm also sure you already got plenty of material!

It's absolutely aright to criticise what you see or hear, but it just needs to be done constructively and best of all backed up with some information or videos or similar.  The chances are it is never going to be perfect, and it quite possibly won't please everyone, BUT if you provide a reasoned debate with some salient points and you carry a good number of members with you then I'm sure that the Dev's will, especially given the early stage in development, consider your views and if they consider them an improvement, popular and possible then I'm sure they will try and accommodate them.  That to a certain extent is the purpose of the early access, is it not ?

I found this one, Looks very helpfull, Notice: The vibrations of the Aircraft make the tracers look not linear
