FINNISH VIRTUAL PILOTS challence the RED STARS to fly as our opponents on Friday 28th of October at 21:00 – 23:00 EEST (20:00 – 22:00 CEST)! Notice that when we say the "Red Stars" we mean all the virtual pilots all around the world who are flying mostly Russian aircrafts!      

 

RED STARS (VVS) BRIEFING

 

Finnish are preparing a great Junkers Ju88 bomber raids against the Russian Frontline Airfields. There shall be a lot of escorting Finnish Bf 109 G-2's, too!

 

RUSSIAN FIGHTERS MISSION:

Defense the Russian airfields and shoot the Junkers down! Make a counter attack against some of those German frontline airfields and keep Finnish/German fighters busy!  

HOW YOU CAPTURE AN AIRFIELD:
 

You must at first take an temporary air supremacy and then destroy 80 % or more of the stuff on those airfields. Example: Look at the Nikolskoye recon photo below. there are several objects which you need to destruct and after that capture the airfield. Read the server's Mission Briefing carefully before taking off!

 Finns are thinking that the Pe-2's are flying on the deck as the Sturmoviks, so try to this time approach from the high level

 

 

 

Your Mission: Attack to the Ryabinki Airfield before the Finns are taking off.

Do note that this is a total war server, so basically no rules, so any dirty trick you can imagine, if it helps to defeat the enemy, it's ok ... Attacking airfields basically demands for vulching, etc.

 

Gentleman rules are of course appreciated (no chute shooting etc.).

Finally here in Hattuvaara. Today we're connecting some internet hubs, building cockpits and waiting our friends all over Finland to arrive here. Sauna was good, beer and sausages, too. Friday is sooner than you can imagine...

It was really great MOSQUITO MEETING weekend and we had very nice time together with beer, sauna, shooting with the legendary Suomi MG, dueling our traditional H2H Ladder competition and mostly of all: meeting very many familiar virtual pilots first time in the flesh!     

 

Now we are going to arrange those missions once again on next Friday 26th and Saturday 27th of August at 20:00 – 24:00 EEST (19:00 – 23:00 CEST). Just look at the first post in this topic, I have updated the information. There are also two new recon pictures and more airfield's pictures are coming out during the next week.

Are there any RED STARS coming in this evening...? There are coming about 20 Finns to fly Junkers 88 and Bf 109 G-2. WELLCOME!

Hi there!

 

This event sounds very interesting but unfortunately it seems to be happening at the same time that the InWar event is happening.  Otherwise I would sign up, but I have already made a commitment for the 19th Guards to attend InWar.

 

Maybe that is a reason why so few VVS are signing up?  That and we are a rare breed around here I guess.

Thanks for participation. After the Ju-88s got home (all but the one that was shot down), the event was done, and most people headed for other things. I had to fix a bug in the mission logic, that's why I brought down the server.

Great video and awesome flying acrobats with the Pekka-Eemeli as we Finns call the Pe-2! Thank you for sharing this video here and welcome to our server much more times in the near future! Weekends are just now the best weekdays with population in our server but I think more and more are coming to try our "different war"!
