Every aircraft is clickable, I just need to blindly find the corner of the transparent part of the buttons...Also, when changing the font from Serif to Ubuntu Mono crushes the text:The funny thing is that I can't even edit the font back anymore, I just have to overwrite the files again Apparently that didn't work. It would make coming home an taking of a lot more immersive. - I'm thinking about making a release without the non BOM planes (excluding the Yak, LAGG and Stuka). How hard is this? Would it be a matter of deleting the entire squadron or just altering the dates? Grt M

For RoF the airfields are regular configurations which allows me to easily designate locations for atmospheric objects. Bos is a collection of independent objects. I might be able to do the same for BoM but I have to look into it. Presumably an aircraft revetment or a hangar is an identifiable object. If I can identify it and then add things based on location I might get somewhere. IMHO the easiest thing is to change the plane. However, if you can't find a suitable replacement then delete the whole squadron. Your coice.

No, but long ago I put something into te code to automatically declare your pilot to have survived a crash if it happens within a few KM of the field. This way your squadron doesn't get slaughtered if it crashes on landing.

PatrickAWlson Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 The error is the reason the debrief failed. Once that happened it looks like the logs were deleted, preventing resubmit. The second is intentional to prevent hundreds and hundreds of log files from floating about. About the mission: 1. Which squadron 2. What date? 3. What kind of mission?

Wirerjacko Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Hi Patrick I dont seem to be able to start a campaign as an Italian pilot. I do have the MC202. Also thanks for the answer above I take it it is also not possible to enable player auto pilot landings as an option that are available in normal mode in the stock campaign. It does come in handy from time to time. Also thanks for all the effort you have put into this I have been using the PWCG for some time with ROF and it just takes things to another level
PatrickAWlson Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 You can use autopilot. In fact almost all of my testing is done in autopilot since I can't actually fly these planes . I'll look into the Italian career thing but I might have the answer straight away: make sure that the date is at least January 1942. With BoM the earliest start date moved back to Oct 1941, but the Italian squadron is not available until Jan 1942.

I created a shortcut for the 2.0 beta 1 application but when I try to open it it tells me it in in the wrong directory and should be installed in the root directory??? Should this have overwritten the Version 1 unified?

I have extracted to the root directly using all 3 tiers of the download but the outcome is still the same as the original post above.

You shouldn't have a folder named 'PWCGBos 2.0 beta' in the main game folder. It's still called 'PWCGCampaign'

If you just use "extract" it creates a directory with the zip file name and then it puts PWCGCampaign into that folder, resulting in PWCGBos 2.0 beta\PWCGCampaign . You don't want that. That is just the way 7zip and windows zip work. If you do end up with that just cut PWCGCampaign out of PWCGBos 2.0 beta and paste it into the game directory. Then you can delete the PWCGBos 2.0 beta directory. Having said that ... "extract here" is the right answer for getting it right the first time. Edited August 14, 2016 by PatrickAWlson 1

Really love the named enemies and debriefing. I hope you keep continueing making this better each version. A few things that keep me from continueing using the PWCG. 1 : Lack of AAA on airfields (to do list) 2 : AI enemy all attacking me ! 3 : Chasing endlessly by the enemy. Now i know you said earlier you cant do anything about the enemy AI. Is this because you dont know where the problem is? Do you get help from 1C/777? Can the developers help you fix this? See the next screenshot what happens almost every mission generated. I stay in the back and let the rest of the aircraft hit the merge first. Enemy aircraft ALL continue flying through the hail of bullets and what not like a bunch of retards and ALL jump me.

I am not an employee of 777, I don't have access to their code, and I cannot make changes to it. Therefore it is not possible for me to change anything on the 777 side. In the past I have "fixed" a couple of AI problems by altering MCUs (mission components) to influence the AI. The problem with the magnetism and endless following is that there is no way that I am aware of to influence the AI to stop this behavior.

Taxman Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Mainstay or anyone else having the enemy AI problem of ganging up on you, do not be the flight leader. I have found, even as I have moved up in the ranks, that if I put someone else in as the flight leader, must have higher rank, then the AI will focus on the flight leader, not you. However if those with higher rank are shot down and you become the flight leader, then run like hell, all the AI will focus on you . Another problem with being the flight leader is that you are usually way ahead of your flight, hanging out there with out any support from your wing men for about 5 minutes, by that time its to late. One other thing I have noticed is that when the AI is focused on me, there have been times when I had 4 on my tail, by ordering wing men to attack and they start damaging the AI the AI will still continue to try to attack me until they are so badly damaged they can longer fly well and become easy pickings, the problem is staying alive or not receiving to much damage yourself before your AI has done enough damage. I do hope that 777 addresses the AI problem in single player.
