Hey folks  , I just updated my battle of Stalingrad /Moscow  to the latest patch and now when I try to start it I get a  notice that I'm missing  libcurl64.dll   and try  re-installing the program . Is there any way around this ? Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me ? I really don't feel like  re-installing the program . This sim  is really getting disappointing with all the crash to desktops and hassles .

Just go and run the game integrity in STEAM if there is anything wrong it fixes it with no hassles.

I found the same issue, I restarted my computer and it seemed to fix it.

I ended up  deleting my update folder and now it works again .  . Excuse the line through my typing , haven't got a clue how that happened .

It is a missinstalation or misstart of Microsoft CC++ packet.

I had it after I just re-downloaded the game files, closed the launcher and re-started it. Fine now.

The same problem : libcurl64.dll .

Restart PC helps. Is ok now.

I was having this issue too and found that the file was not renaming properly after download. It seems the game appends a .update extension to files while downloading and the .update was not removed on completion of download.

Found file in C:\Program Files\1C Game Studios\IL-2\bin\game named as libcurl64.dll.update make sure you are set to show file extensions and then rename the file to libcurl64.dll and it should then work.

I had the same problem, and ran a registry cleaner. I use CCleaner and allowed to fix any errors it found.  After that the game ran again.

Experienced this once after updating to 2.02. Restarting the game (not launcher) cured it.it seems to be an instellation "artefact".

Thanks, I had the same problem. I deleted the .update extension, then got the same message for libeay64.dll.update and ssleay64.dll.update. Now it launches, let's see how it goes.

There is one more link library that still has the .update extension (rofuplib64.dll.update). Should I change it, too?
