Time of servershuttdown?

Gentlemen around here, dear Developers....

I don´t even dare to ask, because my life will get a bit hollow until next weeks Tuesday.

But at which time exactly are the Servers going offline?

Man, this weekend will be truely feel empty without striking across Russias frozen planes.

Not sure. Probably 11.59 Thursday night Moscow time. I really would love to keep playing offline, but unfortunately I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

That time is probably correct. The guys will shut down access tomorrow night late Moscow time per our last meeting. The good news is, as I mentioned before, we are looking at other day/time slots for future periods that might be more convenient.

Though I'm guessing you can beat the system by leaving the game alt-tabbed and continue to play even when the server shuts down.

I've been getting a repeating window in the left of my screen while playing that says the connection to the server has been lost. Game continues to play though.

Don't know if you'll be able to Jason, but can you let slip, if some new content will be implemented by tuesday? And if so, is it the plan to update every week?

We will announce the next phase on Friday, but yes there will be something new for you in the next update that whines a bit. :-) We have internal updates every week, but it depends how those go if we are to do a public update every week, but the plan is to put them out as soon as possible, but in a responsible controlled approach. This is why for now we are limiting access.

Your approach seems to be working well. It's been a surprisingly smooth launch with almost exclusive praise all around, and well deserved too.

 

Keep handling things like this, and I believe the result will be something unique both in terms of quality of the product and community dedication.

 Same here, getting those lost connection messages. Sometimes only one, sometimes more. But does not affect the game though. Here is a http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ to check time..I bet around 10-11pm servers would go down, if not at midnight Moscow time.

Yes this seems to work, as the server is down and I'm still playing.

I nailed my first cross wind landing just as it went down, I thought it would log off or something but, was able to go around again.

 

Lot of fun considering the lack of guns or targets.

Jason, what would be happen if someone stay login and don't logoff when they try to shutdown the access? I think that they shutdown only the access to game but if someone are still login to the game and don't logoff he can play every time.

ROF has a small double square symbol that appears when you have a server lost situation, is the huge text box in BOS really necessary?

Ok I tried to launch the game from the files in this folder '1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\bin\game'  IL2.exe, Launcher.exe or restarter.exe it seems to work but it does not no hope before next update, next week.

Should have read the forums before buying and wanting to play it right away, finished the 1st DL 10 min ago, 5 min after that i found out the servers are down till tuesday...  Nooooooes!

Ok that is what I thought, not sure why they don't allow downloaded the large file you have to get first during the off hours though.

I think when server down or not  allow people to connect for a reason...  it would be good to send the right message to the user.

 

 

I found this message like other friends

"Your connection to Master-Server was temporarily lost. Check your internet connection"

 

next 30 second.  I  open ROF and connect to server ... and I start to play career with no problem.

then I close ROF and open forum to find out the reason and I understand later why I cannot connect to BOS server.

 

[iMHO] for this case why not show right message like

"Your connection to Master-Server was temporarily lost. Server is on maintenance" or other  right message .
