It says the elevator moved to full up position automaticly, which is true for models fitted with the dive recovery system (pretty much every Ju-88 up until later in the war). Lusekofte Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I think the short burst have many reasons, this is what we learned doing with a MG 42 in Norwegian army to aim better and conserve ammunition, it also allowed a lot more ammo through the barrel before changing it before it over heated. So short burst for a non belt gun make sense in any perspective. In terms of defensive measures I think the speed and altitude is the one best applied on the JU 88. German bombers sucked big time in defensive armament. It still bother me that it come off as defenseless.

AstrixAU Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) My Turrets in the JU88 are broken, they cannot be moved or shoot any bullets. It's not only me but anyone else who jumps in my 88 can't use them either. This is so strange as all the turrets on the other planes Axis and Allies work fine for me. The JU88 is totally broken for me, I will have to let a dev know hence I found this post just as I was going to let them know. EDIT: I performed a verify files in Steam when I couldn't connect to the master server after I had a Internet dropout no mater what I tried and that seems to have fixed the turret issue at least in single player so I'll now test multiplayer. Gents, I have found that you need to ensure that the side window (Canopy) is selected closed, other wise you can not use the gunner position to shoot. Regards and hope this helps. Haza

I just tried multiplayer and it's still broken. It works in single player just fine when selecting the plane in quick mission. I got someone to jump in and test it in multiplayer as I thought it wouldn't just affect me and they had the exact same problem. It seems my Multiplayer Ju88 turrets system is broken. I did not mean that, but what I meant was that you must check that the canopy when you are in the pilot's position is selected as closed! This I believe is the issue!!

I can confirm this is the reason it wasn't working. Feeling silly lol

Another thing to watch out for, is that if you lose the sound if you jump into another player's gunner, ask them to cycle the window (open and close it) as this appears to turn the aircraft sounds etc back on.
